  • I Flew Southwest From Baltimore To Fort Myers It Was Awesome

  • nice video!

  • There are not rookies in the cockpit- each is an instrument rated pilot who lost his fear of flying in clouds and in weather long ago. Each pilot has at minimum several thousand hours flight time. They are not fearless, simply experienced. They fly a repetitive series of flights during each month that they bid to work. Some lines are more desirerable than others, but it evens out pretty much.

  • I love flying with Southwest. Does Southwest Airlines still have the brown planes or they changed them all to the blue planes?

  • I'm not sure how the flights are sorted among pilots but if he was a rookie then, yeah I bet he was :)

    Thank you for watchin..........

  • short flights like that are for the rookie pilots and that rookie pilot must of been sweating bullets cuz the visibility was insanely bad!

  • New Sound Moving Landing 2:16 3:37 3:52

  • not to be mean or anything but why would u take a plane from Jacksonville to Tampa? It's not really that long of a drive considering how much money your saving

  • because I didn't pay for it ;)

  • @ledp18 lucky!!

  • It was a business trip to one of our other plants and they needed assistance pretty quick. Got the notice as I was in the yard working and 2 hours later I was on a plane lol.

  • 220 miles 4 hours small road route through Gainesville, 30-40 more same time all interstate via orlando... but you can get screwed an extra hour by traffic either way. SWA under $100 advance but really, for business and to avoid overnight this is the way to go even at full fare. Crazier run is Orlando (MCO) to Jacksonville but people fly that route too.

  • @spot603 During my brief residence on stinking corrupt chaotic Long island I used to fly ISP to Providence for nineteen bucks and earn the same rewards as going NY to LA... now that 25 minute plane ride saved five hours drive through Queens and the ghettos up 95. Think they stopped flying that route when SWA added Logan.

  • 4o minute flight from Jacksonville FL.

    Thanks for watching.

  • Loved the clouds!!! Cool video!

  • Thank you for the nice comment and thanks for watching!

  • I like how Southwest flies to the southeast. ;]

  • wow this was long but very entertaining.

  • nicesssssssss im going this summer to FL i cant wait i love catching lizards and goin to the beach im landing in tampa and my aunt is going to drive up to port richy.......i cant WAIT!

  • hmm take off or landing what is better i cant choose i like both lol

  • awsome vid thanks for posting

  • wat runway did you guys land on?

  • They landed on Runway 18R

  • southwest is awesome, tampa is awesome, winglets are awesome, the 737-700 are awesome ;D

  • THAT...WAS...AWESOME!!! great video!I was flying 2-7-08 from ALB-TPA, AWESOME Flight

  • cool vid

  • love that flap sound :)

  • I sure do miss my ole Tampa, except for in the dead of summer.

  • It is always funny when I fly and you never hear anyone talking when they are going through so much soup...LOL.

When I lived in Tampa I always flew in and out before 4 in the afternoon and after 7 in the evening so I could avoid the thunderheads. The only plane that was able to handle them well was the L-1011 Lockheed Tristar.

  • To make thing interesting: Southwest Airlines should fly Airbus A319s as well as 737-700s. If that ever happened would the rivalry between the Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 be less intense?

  • One word... no

  • Mostly in the 733's.

  • How many 73Gs and 735s had the safety inspection issues?

  • Maybe a little. I have a friend who works for WN in Phoenix and he says that they are slowly retireing the -300's and ordering more -700's

  • The -300 sounds cool but I like the -700 the best. =]

  • The flap sounds on the -700 is certainly better than the flap sounds on the A320 family. Airbus sucks

  • I agree with you on the flaps sound. Airbus Flaps do not have any sound. I recently flew on an A321, A320 & A319 and they are comparable to Boeing.

  • I saw clips of an A320 and A319 landing, and I do hear flap noises if you sit over the wing. They are depressing and sound like a dying duck. JetBlue, United, US Airways, Frontier, Ted by United, and ANY US carrier that flies A320s should give them up in favor of 737-700s and -800s.

  • I disagree. Airbus makes quality planes and Boeing has to compete with them.

  • United and JetBlue should fly the 737-700s and 8-00s instead of the A319s and A320s

  • I totally disagree with you. Boeing and Airbus compete and that is the way business is.

  • Are more carriers flying the A320 than the 737-800

  • At least A320s and 737NGs are way cooler than McDonnel-Douglas MD-80s. I pretty much like both the A320 series and 737NG; I wish American Airlines had A320s in their fleet alongside in addition to the 737-800s instead of using MD-80s (OMG I don't like rear-mount T-tail designs)

  • The MD-80 is a very credible aircraft.. American chose to have an all Boeing fleet and I beleve they have a gentelmans contract with them.. [Meaning that their mainline aircraft will only be boeing...]

  • Airbus and Boeing are the best. No t-tail

  • how come they chose McDonnell-Douglas MD-80 rather than ordering a huge fleet of 737-300s?

  • absolutely, the A320 is alot more fuel-efficient than the MD 80.

  • so is the 737-800.

blended winglets are more effiecient than wingtip fences, and the A320s should use the winglets, not the fences

  • Boeing didn't make a plane similar to the A340, and that's the only problem. Airbus A320s are similar to Boeing 737s though

  • I think you mean the flap sounds on the Next Generation 737s. They sound the same on the -600, -700, -800, and -900

  • I love the sounds of the flaps on the -700. Nice video! 5 stars.

  • I used to like the sound of the flaps on the -300 until I flew to Seattle and back on a -700 last summer

  • The sounds of the flaps are not just the -700. They're also on the -600, -800, and -900

  • nice. i landed w/ swa on march 29th.

  • Where were you coming from??

  • jacksonville Florida. It's a 40-50 minute flight. Thanks for watching!

  • dude that was badass, I like how you included the whole appraoch

  • TY very much!

  • I LOVE Tampa, wish I could go again.

Nice video by the way :)

  • Thank you.
