2:29 is a nice time, especially for a twelve-year-old :) However, it's important to remember they're swimming long course here (50 meters) and not the traditional 25 yard configuration that you probably swim in. Meters are longer than yards :P

Maybe perhaps because she hopes to someday be a househould name at the next Olympics? Obviously with her records she set "her name" has already been in the papers. With the records she has set at her age it is entirely possible. Here is hoping she continues her excellence and we can say we "knew" her at the next Olympics. =)

Well Aussies was swimming mad country so its not easy - same thing as English was so good at soccer, its hard to became premiership footballer. Maybe u need go bk to drawing board to how improve ur performance - go talk to coach abt this....

THankyou... surely that is clear that it is meters. I'm an aussie we only swim meters, but any swimmer could tell straight away from a time whether it is short course or longcourse and whether is meters or yards, and as i said we don't even swim yards!
