I am from NY, and have lived in Vegas for 9 years. I love them both. In a sense Vegas isn't a "city" its a giant suburb with a huge entertainment district, and no economic diversity. But damn its got character. You meet all kinds of people here, and traffic is a breeze compared to the L.I.E. My heart will always be in the big apple, but Vegas is a happy #2

I've lived in both places, and, Vegas gets the nod. Culture...NY, by a landslide. Women... nod goes to Vegas. Weather... are you serious? Cuisine... NY, on a poor man's budget, Vegas on Penn's.

They are both amazing, but, give me the Bay Area. It has that umami flavor, sans the preservatives you find in those other cities. If you get my drift....

My boyfriend just moved from NYC to come be with me out in Illinois and he misses parts of it too. He doesn't miss the traffic or the crowds but the city does have a lot of appeal. It's nice to visit, not so nice to live in.
