  • is val kilmer gat in real life

  • brilliant actor MR DOC

  • i guess Ike is not as stupid as he looks

  • does anybody know the title of the music playing in the opening scene @0:14?

  • Doc Holiday <3

  • 3:05

the look on his face; those sad eyes. its such an oscar worthy clip.

he's thinking, "man, i married the wrong woman."

  • @greg3d4u in real life they never married, they were just together, he left her and went with the other chick and those two did get married, the blonde chick died of brokenheart, true sad love story :(

  • @kcbabyful And an opium addiction.

  • Everyody is giving praise to the good guys like Val and Kurt, but I'm giving kudos the the bad guys being Powers and Michael. They were all good actors.

  • know what id do ? , id take the deal then crawl and drill that ole devil in the ass. epic

  • In real life, Doc Holiday may have indeed killed Ringo. Wyatt came upon Ringos lifeless body with a single gun shot wound to the head. It was ruled a suicide, but rumor had it Wyatt had Holiday kill Ringo.

  • I love how the whole saloon just shuts down when the Cowboys walk in and meet Wyatt and Doc for the first time. Everyone stands quietly and just watches like they're expecting something to go down.

  • This is the greatest movie of all time

  • Ringo was showing off how big his dick is. Doc showed off how big his balls are.

  • when i saw this when i was 9yrs old. i bought a revolver/cigarette lighter and i imitated doc.

  • "very instructive" lmao doc was a straight up gangsta

  • "reminds me..of me! ha ha ha

  • Holidays my fave!

  • who was the devil?? DAM!!! LOL AWSOME MOVIE I REMEMBER WATCHING THIS WHEN I WAS LIKE 15 OR 14 YEARS OLD LONG TIME AGO?

  • Did everybody get the tin cup thing? Doc had TB, so he always had to bring his own cup.

  • @ghostdog2041

The thing that intimidated Ringo wasn't the fact he had the tin cup, it was the fact that he was pissed and did what he did with an everyday item on the spur of the moment without practice thats got a very awkward balance compared to a pistol, thats real skill.

  • Wyatt's face at 7:30 has the eyes of a tiger then later when he looks at Doc it is more like, "How do you answer that?"

Then doc defuses the whole thing by trivializing the fancy gun twirling. Pure class.

His character throughout this movie was outstanding.

  • Has any translate what they were saying in Latin??? Great acting.

  • Love the scene with Doc and ike. lol lol lol. Wonderful movie. Why ike whatever do you mean? lol lol lol lol. Won't we love to have a movie like this everyday.

  • 09:25 priceless taunting :D; damn I like this movie more every minute!

  • ´´Thats Latin evidently Mr Ringo is an educated man,now i really hate him...´´

  • Listen Mr. Kansas law dog. Law just don't go around here.

  • I'll be damned. You may be if you're lucky.

  • Llook darling Johnny Ringo....Val Kilmer was great!!!!

  • Can you imagine they were making bets for $500 back in those days? Money came easily and was lost just as fast. Can you imagine what life was like back in those wild and scary days? A man lived by the day. Doc Holliday was proof of that. He drank a lot and never backed down from a fight. He kept Wyatt busy.

  • Doc and that cup? Love it!

  • You must be doc holiday.

    ...that's the rumor.

Well it seems that Johnny ringo is an educated man. Now I hate him even more.

  • cowboys that just start to talk latin randomly... how fucking awesome is that??

  • Pars optima. Hanc partem amo.

(The best part. I love this part.):

    „ ‘In vino veritas.’

    ‘Age quod agis.’

    ‘Credat Judaeus appella, non ego.’

    ‘Iuventus stultorum magister.’

    ‘In pace requiescat.’”

  • Comment removed

  • @seregthaur

Can you translate it to english for us?

  • @wthjrtx1 theres vids on youtube that do it, but its basically Doc.. saying he speaks the truth when drunk, and Ringo replying, that is getting drunk all he do, Doc says he doesnt believe so, to wich Ringo tapping his gun says something along the lines about how people learn from mistakes and Doc tells him to rest in peace!

  • @wthjrtx1 Yes, I can. ;- )

    "-In wine is truth.

    -Do what you do.

-Shall the Jew Appella believe it, not me.

-The youth is the master of the stupid.

    -May he rest in peace."

  • That dusky hued lady satan. How does everything Doc say sound so cool.

  • Val Kilmer should have won Best Supporting Actor

  • @94jg He should have won all the Oscars forever for this performance. Too bad he's never come close to equalling it.

  • @94jg yeah ,He is a very underated actor

  • Curly Bill is Powers Booth

  • Doc should kill Ringo when he was waving his colt.It 'll be like Indiana Jones and this guy with big sword.

  • best part yes sir

  • The guy who plays curly bill is great as well.

  • The Devil is as illusive as God.

  • Doc has the best response against anyone who takes themselves way too seriously.

  • Doc: In Vino Veritas. Ringo: Age Quod Agis.

Doc: Credat Judaeus Apella, Non Ego.

    Ringo: Eventus Stultorum Magister.

    Doc: In Pace Requiescat.

  • @ 7:08 the way Kilmer drawls "deadliest" is so perfect.

  • Lol Doc Holliday is funny xD

  • okay...Dana Delaney (the brunette) is TOTALLY way better looking. But the best part, at least of this scene, has to be "I already did it". In the movie is when Doc is told..."I have lots of friends"...and Doc replies..."I don't"...that's the best part of all

  • Hey, Ringo is the dude from "Terminator"...

  • @SDK2584 Yup, Michael Biehn, hes also in Aliens : )

  • no im sure of it i hate him lol

  • I don't get it, the blonde is better looking than the brunette

  • @charismaticace Well, everyone's tastes are different and looks aren't the only thing that attracts people to one another. In this story, the sexual tension between Wyatt and the brunette is based in mutual respect and admiration. Physical attraction was the least of what they like about each other.

  • @charismaticace, I disagree.

  • @crazycelt89 I do too...."I'm your huckleberry"......that's the best part! :)

  • He matched Johnny Ringo's gun handling skills with a tin shot cup...that's fuckin' pimp!!

  • ok i don't understand american slang, what does doc mean by his an oak?

  • @GoatAirJordanFTW - He meant that Wyatt is a solid and stand-up person who keeps his word. Like an oak tree, strong and stand-up, solid.

  • @CitySkin09 i see thank you

  • DOC has swagger before the word existed.

  • @c9mavrick Hell yeah!

  • @c9mavrick PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

Dont Not Put Doc Holiday And The Word Swagger 2gether...Lame ass slang you idiots use now a days

  • @1AztecaBoxing SMH... Hey! everybody got a opinon. which is cool. But Doc Holiday in that movie has swagger before swagger existed.

  • " I'm in my prime" Doc Holiday.

  • Oh man, this script is awesome. There's not a dull moment anywhere.

  • one of my favorite movies of all time Val really played his part

  • the cup was just to piss ringo off

  • "That dusky Hued Lady Satan"

  • Doc " Very instructive"

Wyatt "But who was the Devil" "i'll be damned"

Doc " You may indeed..if you get lucky"!

  • val looks like kevin kline in this movie???

  • Stephen Lang was such a heel in this film, lol.

  • Curly Bill just gave back 25 percent of his winnings to the erpts, due to they own a quarter stack of the house.

  • You really cannot top this movie. Great throwaway lines, movie execs these days...how I really hate them!

  • Kilmer and Russell were great, but Michael Biehn's performance is so often overlooked. He was brilliant in this movie.

  • 9:20 Hahahaha... Gut gemacht,Doc!

  • Val shoulda won an Oscar for his portrayal

  • Your a dumbass for not figuring out my comment was about Kate and not Josephine. Your a dumbass also for telling me to do research on something thats my opinion; and also the fact you can't tell which person I'm refering to. Just saying.

  • Doc Holiday, my favorite person in this movie, hands down!

  • "You know what i do? I will drill that devil in the ass." Turns to ringo. "What about you? What would you do Johnny?"

    Ringo: I already done it.

    classic

  • @johnnyfive222 Oh and I probably shouldn't have called you a dumbass but c'mon it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out I was talking about Kate.

  • a bwackman at 3:30 !

  • Why does Dana Delaney have piercing blue eyes?!?!

Oh, that skin. The Irish skin! I don't like it at all! Just sayin'. Maybe a little.

Dana Delaney?! Where did she go?!!

  • this is a great movie....

  • "Evidently, Mr. Ringo is an educated man. Now I really hate him!"

    LOL!

  • I like how Doc made Ringo look like a jackass. That was cool and funny.

  • 5:48, this is what happens whenever Billy Zane enters a crowded room.

  • erp:id be damed

    doc:you may indeed...if your lucky

  • Great Movie

  • Val Kilmer absolutely stole the show!!!!!! His character was my favorite!!

  • Best part of the movie,

what do you think darling, should i hate him ?

    you dont even know em

nop, thats true, but, i dont know, theres just something about him... something around the eyes ... i dont know, reminds me of ... me, no im sure of it, i hate him.

  • I never noticed in this movie @ 4:21 in the back round Texas Jack is drinking with Landers,Landers at that time was with the cowboys?

  • @whipit4me OOOPS, Not Landers I meant McMasters

  • Comment removed

  • cowboy or not, one of the best movie wiht one of the best actores!!

  • Look at the look of dejection on Wyatt's face @ 4:15, as he turns away....no matter what the century or era, a broken marriage is a broken marriage....maybe he only has himself to blame. Mattie sure as hell doesn't even care any more

  • I am the real, living, existing Dr Holliday. I got 2 guns, and they are still REALLY REALLY REALLY FUCKING fast. And Johnny Ringo, well, dance, drew and bang all too easy really

  • i stand corrected..you are a OAK...LOL..

  • you know what I'd do Id take a deal and then crawfish and drill that old devil in the ass

    all cowboys laugh

    lmfao

    fav part

  • @Multimanjuan yea that was hilarious...ole IKE ...spit tink'''''''''..haha!

  • the begining is of this vid is my fav part

  • what crawfish mean?

  • @2112murphy the guy who plays him is realllly really annoying though

  • lol "shut up ike"

  • WHAT ARE THEY SPEAKING ?!?!?!?!

    ITS NOT SPANISH!!!

AND WHAT THEY MEAN BY LATIN.

  • @DosXsConTecate Latin is a language. It's in books.

  • i think movie going etiquite has only slightly improved

  • hahaha..... shut up Ike lmao

  • wyatt shoulda banged his wife before work, then banged the chick at the bar. old school player

  • Wyatt...i stand corrected...you're an oak...

  • 3:23

I used to get drunk and watch from this part, and get my dads pistol out and practice my twirling :)) good times

  • 4:51 lol

  • 0:59 :D

  • look darling johny ringo.

  • Gun Slinging back then, are the equivalent to what shitty dance-offs that movies like "You Got Served" promote are today...

  • nah back then the west was ruled by the gun, you live by the gun you die by the gun, you show off your best gun moves so people dont fuck with you

  • @66jesko Yeah, but the fact that Doc does it with a cup is a way of making Ringo look foolish for buying into it. In the end when he kills him, he says that he was too high-strong; he put too much stock on showing off that he never really learned anything.

    If that makes sense.

  • @wtfan Actually, it's been said that the line "He was too high strung" was a reference to real life reports that Ringo committed suicide. Holiday, however, claimed that it was he, in fact, that killed Ringo in a duel. Who to believe? Who knows?

  • @guardianshaven I've heard that story. Just proves that we can't let Hollywood re-teach us our history. In a few scenes with the gunfight at the OK, Sam Elliot mentions "It's getting warmer, spring must be coming". (a building is burning in the background) Which is true as the movie may have a "summer" feeling to it but it had snowed the night before in real life.

  • What's the name of the song at the beginning of this clip during the play?

  • this is the best western ever

  • What is the implication when Virgil says, "Her maiden name is Sullivan" ?

  • @kyun1252 - sully as in "dirty", maybe?

  • Hard to believe the same dude who played Ike is the Colonel from Avatar. Great actor.

  • Even though Holliday was drunk (when isn't he?) I think he was alert enough at 8:55 (they showed his eyes more in the Director's Cut) to know that Ringo was better than Earp but that he was better than Ringo, or at least knows how to beat him.

  • val kilmer at his best!!!

  • That cup scene is one those great scenes that makes a character memorable. Kinda like that pencil scene in The Dark Knight.

When I show this movie to friends, they react the same way as the audience:

    1st confusion

    2nd then, dawning and enlightenment

    3rd laughter

    4th appreciation

I also liked the 'Bravo' at the end, the perfect line from a performer and how Curly Bill tries to laugh it off and pay for drinks, that's why he's the leader, he's cunning.

  • Best line ever in a Western Movie. "Obviously Mr. Ringo is an educated man, now I really hate him" - LMAO

  • what the name of the song during the play?

  • @Dylawn1990 It's called "Roll wit me homey!"

  • @bodhitaichi thanks but i found it. Camille Saint-Saëns - Danse Macabre.

  • Wyatt: "I'll be damned..."

Doc: "You may indeed... If you get lucky..."

  • 9:18

The part where Val Kilmer starts slinging the cup is hilarious. He's doing it to mock Ringo.

  • @smokin94chevy nahhhhhhhhh 4realzzzz

  • @smokin94chevy YOURE KIDDING ME?!!!!!!!!HOLY SHIT WHO WOULDA THOUGHT!

  • @gmanthebeast1 and the youtube troll strikes again.

  • @smokin94chevy are you talking about yourself?yes, that was a very trollish, and stupid comment, you should have thought before stating such a retarded post.

  • Val Kilmer is the best part of this movie

  • sexiest devil ever

  • some of our times best actors in one of the best western movies EVER ! Salut

  • Ah'm a bit put awf by th' fac' that everyone in th' saloon's all shiny-clean an' good smellin', I mean, a BATH's what four bits, 'n' who's got time for that nonsense 'cept a bunch o' rich panzies? Who th' hell's foolin' who here, anyhow?" ;]

  • "This crap sucks, Doc. Anything on Channel 7?"

  • Doc: when im drinking i speak my mind

    Ringo:Do what you do best

Doc:Drinking isnt what i do best

Ringo:Fools have to learn from experience

    Doc:Rest in peace

  • @joyspitcrew man you know latin

  • @tonymtno : E Pluribus Unum. Novus Ordo Seclorum. Civis Romanus Sum.

  • @buzzclick500 you know latin as well.

  • @tonymtno : Only a few strategic phrases. Don't confuse me with an educated person. In the main, I'm dumb as dirt. ;]

  • @joyspitcrew Thanks for the translation.

  • wtf does anyone know what ringo and holiday are saying to each other right before johnny ringo pulls out his pistol its like some other language! wtf

    please reply

  • @SpitMucus69 i know that the first line val kilmer says means 'in wine, truth'.....the rest, who knows....

  • @heronmusic2000

I think he said its latin. I wish i really knew what they were syaing thanks.

  • @SpitMucus69 I would have loved to have lived in these times.....i know that things are ALOT more comfortable now, but there is sooo much bullshit nower days about image etc.....at least back then, peeps were more real. If ya had a problem with someone, they handled it......I LOOVE what Doc says!! & what he does with his glass....pure class......but Ringo is also a badasss in this movie....so well acted by the guy from Terminator.....i wish they made more westerns like this....

  • DOC IS SO FUCKING BADASS HOLY SHIT I HAD A MALE ORGASM

  • Doc has one great line after the other.

  • Virgil is refering to his wife's madien name, Sullivan as in John L. Sullivan. The last, most famous of the bare knuckle fighters. :: Boy, if what Doc does to Wyatt in the way of a joke isn't typical of men. Morgan and Doc are having a good ole' time. lolol I've NEVER figured out this kind of sense of humor, men to men. My husband use to fall trees for a logging Co. He was down in a draw and had just stirred up a bee's nest. The guys up above just laughed and said, "look at him run!" humph! :)

  • I wonder what they said to each other in latin!

  • Comment removed

  • "I stand corrected, Wyatt. You're an oak." I love that line!

  • Val Kilmar is the man in this movie. Pure greatness

  • Val Kilmer was a pretty underrated actor. I can't believe THAT'S Madmartigan!!

  • In the final scen on this video theres four actors who worked with james cameron on a film....The irony after watching a few of camerons films tonight

  • I'll give Dana Delaney a free mustache ride any time...just so long as she gives me a crack at that pussy of hers.

  • damn i want to drill maddie in the ass ;)

  • I have a Latin dictionary but i would like to compare what i think it is that Doc and Johnny are saying to each other. If any one else has tried translating it. oh and GRRREAT movie!!! Val should of got all the awards that year.
