@KvornanTheLafesta This plane is probably not a good beginner plane, In my opinion you should get a plane with lithium polymer batteries, and a brushless motor.
@RCTestPilots Not sure if I can find one locally... The stuff they have @ my local hobby stores, only very very few come with brush-less & lipo, and they don't look like beginners stuff either... I really have a narrow choice of models to purchase, unless if I get an ARF and buy my own electronics.
@KvornanTheLafesta Ordering one online would be a good idea, making a plane as a beginner is a hard thing to do. Two websites I would recommend buying planes from are nitro-planes, and hobby-lobby. These both have good beginner planes, you should take a look.
@RCTestPilots Hmm, interesting idea. But I might still make a go on this Cessna anyways... I don't really want to blow my wallet, a lot of the stuff on those 2 websites are really really expensive. I may have to go local.
Nice! I have the exact plane. I got mine off ebay as an empty plane. It comes with a 370 motor and a gearbox. All you need to do is add a RX, ESC and servos and off you go. I've added a 1530kv BL motor with an 18a esc. Waiting for the wind to stop for the maiden flight :)
It's good, yes. But since it is not brushless or doesn't have a lipoly, it would not be my first recommendation. Something like it that would be better would be the FMS sky trainer cessna from nitro planes.
hey man! awesome. I was hoping to find another guy with this plane. I just got on given to me from a good friend. I built it and ready to fly. I was wondering if there was any advice you could toss my way? Do's and Don't's or anything at all?
I got a question, how long of flight do you get with the battery? Did yours come with 4 props too? All different sizes and all? What's the deal with that? Any tips I would love to hear them.
oh because that is weird.........i have the same exact plane............and it was WAY underpowered..so i have a brushless in it now....so much better.
I didn't do it, it's my friends plane. I'm not exactly sure what you have to do, it comes with everything you need though. Try contacting: RCJackBlack
Does the 3 channel Cessna come with a rudder and elevator or do i need a 4 channel Cessna for both of those?
Thanks
jakedcps 6 months ago
@jakedcps It will definitely have an elevator, a 3 channel plane will either not have a rudder or not have ailerons.
RCTestPilots 6 months ago
isn't this cessna 747 a 4 channel plane...? i know the 745 cessna is a three channel..

Cool, this plane now has a brushless motor, and lipoly battery. We haven't had much luck with it though.

I'm not sure, it's my friends plane.

i understand that it is brushed but overall it is a good plane u say. how fast does it go, can it climb vertical on stock motor?
geekpeptalk 2 years ago
It is good. It can't climb vertical, it's meant to be a trainer. The speed is alright, not to slow, not too fast.

hey is this a good plane. i mean really is it a good 4ch plane

Are the tires plastic or rubber?
Thanks.

They are a certain type of rubbery foam.

The different prop sizes might have been for the gear reduction. I'm not exactly sure, this is my friends plane.

i will have vids of it soon my lipo just blew up so i have to get a new battery for it..
angler1204 2 years ago
I hate it when that happens. =[

That is weird. Did you do the gear reduction? and your prop might have been on backwards. Just a thought.
