For decades Vampire stories have always had the tragic love story and general romanticism to them. Twilight, although I personally found entertaining, is not original in its story. And it is quite annoying if teeny bopper girls are going around thinking it is, and that ideas are being stolen from Meyer, that's laughable, really. Bella was okay, but she did seem rather overly emo & very naive, I mean it's nice that you can be so in love with someone, but not caring about the dangers...silly girl.

i agree, because i personally think that edward is too human to be a vampire. he's basically a human with killer looks, because he happens to have minor problems with self control and they always overcome all obstacles. its kind of annoying

I've actually just finished reading Twilight for the first time. It was good - I can understand it's appeal - the fact that alot of girls wish they could have somebody as charismatic as Edward to love them. But I do stand by what I always thought. It is it's own story but not THAT original, and I still find Bella naive but also *Prepares for savage attack by fangirls* quite annoying sometimes. Occasionally I could understand her stance on some things but alot of the time she did quite annoy me..

I agree with you also about Edward with his Prince Charming appeal, tbh he gives you unrealistic expectations in men :D

Yeah I hated her fainting goat routine. But an author succeeds when they get you to care about their characters. I'm starting to view the 100+ dude falling for a barely legal gir as more predatory than "prince charming" it would be creepy on a 74 year guy and it's creepy on an artificially young looking dude. Moreso because they only seem to go for the under aged...ew. Not flattering - predatory in a Chris Hansen way maybe.

Makes for good drama though.

its only episode 3 and i'm already bored with the series. They aren't goign anywhere with it. Vampire only went after her once at the bar and he didnt even go after her. Its like they dont even get to interact with humans to learn how to control thier instincts. He saved the girl once and burned up and she dont even wonder who or where he is. That is stupid. Im not getting it but ill keep watchin.
