Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. It seems unlikely to me that Coulton, a guy who wrote a song a week for an entire year would BUY ideas from other people.
He called her up just to say the 'Message Redacted' part of the song. She was waving her hands around in that 'pick me, pick me' kinda way when he was asking for volunteers... so he did. She knew the song very well, and even had a dance to go with it... he commented on his blog that she was the most animated helper he'd ever had for that song. :-)
