obviously you havnt heard of music befroe. it lures you in with the cool licks. and then it builds to a climax. like, uh, i dunno. A book? listen to more good bands. you will notice that its a good pattern to use when trying not to be mediocre.

Wow. Obviously, YOU haven't listened to a lot of music before. How about Iron Maiden? Metallica? Rush? Dream Theater? Or a list of several other bands I could name that do not follow this ridiculously monotonous pattern that Pearl Jam does.
And for anyone out there that thinks I'm just spouting off on something I don't know about, I have listened to quite a bit of this band's music. It's all the same to me.
Just becuz the songs you know from rb/gh games are like that, doesnt mean all their songs are. if u stop criticizing and try to listen to their different stuff, you might even like it

Wanna write a song for Pearl Jam?? Just follow these simple steps!!
1. Start off with a hook by any member of the band
2. Do a couple of average versus with loud vocals in the choruses, making SURE to let the guitarist throw in a random lick or three in there
3. Make the song louder with more energy for the last minute or so
4. End with a big flourish - big rock ending style or not is your choice
Just follow these four easy steps and YOU could be writing music just like PEARL JAM!!
