But no matter what Corps you may be with the kids are the best and that is what we want to teach for "the kids", to show them what we did at their age, the fun, the touring, the friends, all that is Drum Corps! Enjoy your years, you will remember it for the rest of your life.,.,,.
There have been the best of VK Alumni try to help the new VK Corps, but every one was fired, not wanted by management. We are the ones who marched VK, we are the ones who knows what VK is about, we are the VK, but were all pushed away from the new corps. So that is why they have people from every other corps teaching them and is why it will never be the original VK!!!
Credit where credit is due... VK is still out touring. Is this dirty? Yes. But hey, when you have all the "old" VK alums too busy bagging on VK Part 2, rather than getting stuck in and helping, what do you expect? As a Freelancer alum, I have a bit of a connection to VK. We were big rivals back in the day. So the question I have for the "old" VK alums.. Why does the "new" VK have Freelancer alums heading up the brass and visual captions and not alums of the "old" VK? Give these kids a chance!
lol i'd think alumni wouldnt bag on a vid of their corps, but ok haha....
we had pretty much NO instructor and like SDHS said, we had A LOT to deal with so yeah. I mean, by finals week or "caption head" became the brass caption head... We had A LOT of talent and spirit, but no one to help us use it to its max. potential. Also very early in the season so yeah im done! lol
@MrABRdrummer Yes you did have a lot to deal with and I'm truly sorry about anyone having a negative experience in a corps. Especially from a corps name that I once belonged to.
i would be less vulgar, but they are not good....btw i marched 1992 VK bassline....they were dirty then, i think you guys need to be more precise with your technique.....i took lessons from dave dilullo prodigy of rob carson and i took lessons from tom float........
the key to all drumming is to play it slow and perfectly......the kid who can have the kung fu patience playing ultra slow with a metronome WINS !!!
you must pretend you are playing with Vic Firth and the Boston Orchestra
what line did you play in 1989? my brother was on bass in 1989? henry, felix, phil, sajjad,(my brother) i forgot the 5th person....the tenor line matt, kevin, al, snare, motley, trish, roger, i think jeff queen came later....alice on cymbals...that s all who i remember...i marched bass in 1992 and pit 91
roflmao vk is actualy pretty good the one bass player you cant see hapens to beh one of my good friends so ruben how about you shut your trap and get a life
@rubenq2012 thats cuz they dont care about winning the have been making the crowd enjoy comming to dci since the 70's theyre kinda like the comic relief
So.......boring

No. Keep your cocks in. Lame book, nothing hard, very dirty. Early season or not.

They're wearing converse... Should that be illegal for marching bands...?

@jackhammer10101 You should come march with the Velvet Knights Alumni Corps. Phil is there on bass. You'll have a blast.

I don't know why people mistake VK's having fun for not being very good.
