Any man/woman who abuses, especially sexually abuses a child, whether their own or not is sick. There's no excuse. Sometimes it makes me think the death penalty should be legal in these cases. Any man/woman who abuses, especially sexually abuses a child, whether their own or not is sick. There's no excuse. Sometimes it makes me think the death penalty should be legal in these cases. Unfortunately I'm against the death penalty as a whole, so lifetime in jail will have to suffice (though that could arguably be a death penalty if the other inmates find out...).

No, Kelsey's mom shouldn't be freed. The freekelseysmom website is a bunch of bullshit! They only named it that because they felt that if they named it after Kelsey they'd get more sympathy and the whole time they only talk about Raye Dawn. Where's Kelsey's justice? They only want Raye Dawn's justice.
I don't care if Raye Dawn wasn't around at all. She should have known that her daughter was hurting around that home.

Those who support Raye Dawn are supporting the severe neglect of a child.
For her to NOT have known that Kelsey was being abused she could have never given the child a bath, dressed her or changed her diaper. She could have never brushed her hair, washed her face or even looked at her in the light.
So if Raye Dawn was clueless to what Mike Porter was doing, she was possibly the most neglectful mom in known history. May she rot in hell

How horribly sad... This is what is wrong with our system when it comes to protecting children..so.. Is the judge still on the bench?? I sure hope not. I do not think I could of negotiated a plea agreement.

what erks me about this system is that you see innocent parents having their kids taken away from them but when real child abuse is present the state seems to do everything they can to either hide it or give the person a second chance that should not happen. This mother should have had cps social workers stopping by her home every day and should have been in a case for the child to be in temperary foster care. This is horrible and I hope the mother get's raped in prison.

Im a Freshman in High school. And i have this project to do in Child Development about Child Abused. And i did it on Kelsey. She likes a HERO to me! My project has Kelsey's story and everything. When i share the story to my class and had a little speech about it by the time im done my teacher and some of the students were crying tears out because of this story. To Kelsey GOD BLESS! NO ONE CAN HURT U NO MORE! 2 ALLL THE PEOPLE OUT THERE, STOP THE CHILD ABUSED!!!!!
