San Francisco should just sell its parking meters to Abu Dhabi like Chicago did. Make a quick buck and let them jack up the rates. That's all you need to do to alleviate parking issues. Why encourage car use in any way?
Well, even so, after 2 bottles of wine you would have to stay In that restaurant for atleast 12 hours before you're ready to take off with your vehicle. Am I wrong? I mean, It's better to take a cab rather then the car If you're having plans on drinking alcohol. They should'nt have mentioned "second bottle of wine" In my opinion. They could've just skipped that part. Nice invention anyhow!
When does Boston get something like this? Ever try to go to McGreevey's on a Friday night? You either take the T or end up walking forever just to get there.
I really like the part when he says: You're on your "second" bottle of wine and you want to stick around for a little while........Uuhhh,,,,So you drive off after having had TWO bottles of wine and head out In the traffic drunk!!??? Hahahaha! That was a "good" example!
@jstandard2 I just copied my old post, here you go: Well, even so, after 2 bottles of wine you would have to stay In that restaurant for atleast 12 hours before you're ready to take off with your vehicle. @Zovax818 you call investments in inventions and improvement of technology the monetary system? that is economic development! think of henry ford who thought up the moveable production line. he commited to american development by doing that.
they meant earlier in the film that compared to New York City, their public transportation is not as good.
however, they do have public transportation.
So, if a person cannot find a parking place within reasonable distance of their destination they may opt to park elsewhere and utilize the public transportation to take them closer to their destination. Public transit not being bad, just not as abundant. Unlike NYC, people rely on their cars more often.

They say later in the video that people will choose to take public transit when parking is crowded...
despite saying early in the video that public transit was not very good.
