does anyone know where the term rat rod came from? it came from guys in the late 50's and early 60's when guys were pulling different parts off of different cars and trucks to make their car or truck run and drive, now its very different a rat rod basicly is a early or late 30's car or truck that people take from a field and put it on a 90's chevy frame and a 9 inch rear end 40's drums 1950 cadillac engine, 1969 chevy bench seat, gas tank from 1986, that is a true rat rod
not to knock it but its not a rat rod in my eyes its a chevy apache with no fenders, no hood, choped rediculus, and a shitty looking bed, you should take the 61 body off and put a 40 chevy body on it then you can call it a rat rod.
