For those of you who don't know who the man in the red was, his name is Genesis Rhapsodos. He was a SOLDIER 1st class and one of the two bestfriends Sephy had. Genesis was the first one with the black wing, but his being on his left. You have to play Crisis Core to know who he is.

I hope that in the Final Fantasy VII PS3 Remake they blend every tie available of the story, SPECIALLY THIS ONE! This is the most loose end of the story of them all. xD Even if it was just a cameo/easter egg of Genesis.

@2Good2BeTrue45 i certainly hope so! i reckon (and wish) they could even make a fighting game with dissidia-like mechanics that only has characters from FF7 in it, there's definitely enough to choose from!
@tekkenfan95 i read somewhere that, unfortunately, they will only consider a remake if it takes a maximum of a year to do. in comparison, to make it the quality (i'm assuming that means graphically) of recent FF games, it would take 3 to 4 times that long =( i also think i read that they are making another game for FF7's compilation, but we probably won't see it for a while. somehow i don't think they care as much as they used to, maybe they'll prove me wrong... i guess we'll see eventually.
Couldn't they just make a remake of that game instead of its endless sequels?
Don't get me wrong, I love all the FF7 sequels, but i really really want to play FF7 in the graphically good quality all the FF games are these days. Heck they could even make it on the PSP like they did Crisis Core.

@KingdomKat03 wrong, Sephiroth became evil because he found out they were hiding mother and he was serching for her. once he found her he went totally utterly evil. hence if you played ff7 and noticed as soon as he was standing infront of jenova he started to do that evil shaking of his body as if he was laughing.

I'm a little confused. I'm almost threw the Crisis Core game. So I know a little about Genesis. I already beat Dirge of Cerberus. So I know that "G" is in the unlocked secret ending after gathering all the G reports. But how is Omega his brother? Or is he referring to Sephiroth? And does that ending mean they are adding more to the FFVII storyline? After Crisis Core I have beat all FFVII games seen and own Last Order and Advent Children. So I just have to know if you can clarify this for me?
Omega is not Genesis's 'brother', he's refering to Weiss the Immaculate (and Nero the Sable, if you count his existance within him - it's confirmed, BTW). And yes, indeed, there will be more to come from the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII - they said they're taking a break to concentrate on the Fabula Nova Crystallis series. The Compilation ends in 2017 - 10 more fantastic years, Square Enix said - when they opened up their 10th anniversary FFVII gallery in 2007...

Omega was the final WEAPON to be released by the planet, the last resort. The WEAPON was an ark for the planet's spiritual energy, if the suffering on the humans was too great. It would then leave the planet and travel across the starts, whilst the planet collapses. That's what Omega is.
Weiss the Immaculate, the person who Genesis was carrying in his arms. He shares Genesis' cells, but they aren't biological brothers - he was injected with G-Cells when he became a Tsviet.
I will say it is unclear if Genesis is truely a villain in Final Fantasy since he only defected from Shinra, I never saw him do any acts I'd consider evil. I'd consider Genesis neutral. I also must say he is one of my favorite characters and this is a good sign that Square Enix will make another extension to Final Fantasy VII.
OgamiRei, that's Weiss the Immaculate from Dirge of Cerberus, and has a cameo appearance with his brother Nero in Crisis Core, when they take him away in a chopper close to the end of the game. He is a Tsviet, the elite of Deepground and due to this, he was given a color. His color was white, due to his birth standards, and he was later given G-Cells when reaching Triple SSS status in Deepground, and becoming a Tsviet. He was known as the 'Immaculate Emperor' within Deepground.
after weiss and nero take genesis to the helicopter at the end of crissi core. they go to deepground under shinra and are spliced with genesis genes and his genes also go to the tsivets "colored soldiers" from DoC and become his "brothers" and "sisters" . weiss and nero ask genesis to help them in their rebellion against the restricters, rulers of deepground, but genesis declines the offer and seals himself in a flooded cavern beneath midgar. and now he is out to protect the world.
You're a little out there, i'm afraid. Weiss, Nero, and the other Tsviets are given Genesis' cells the moment they reach Triple SSS status, when they are Tsviets - which happened quite a bit before CC, which was why President Shinra sent them to find Genesis, also knowing that they share his cells. They weren't given his cells when he was with them on the Helicopter journey, or at Deepground. As for the rest, you've gotten it just about right.
It's him, they put this in for a couple of reasons. First to introduce a main villain other than Sephiroth for the later to come ff7 crisis core. Also its unclear if he is going to be a villain or not, Im curious on how strong he has become since CC before him and Sephy were on the same level, but after Sephy traveled the life stream and gained its secrets his power has been unrivaled. Genesis is the Ying to Sephy's Yang so im looking forward to what they will do with his character
I wonder when the next FFVII will come out with Genesis...there just has to be a continuation. Sephiroth was only the beginning who knows what Genesis is going to to.

Genesis will play the hero in the next installment of the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII. He is out to save the world, along with Weiss and Nero (who are now two sides of the same coin) - Nomura confirmed this, and it is also written in the Ultimania.
It's not announced yet, but S-E has an idea for the next Compilation title. They said that Advent Children Complete was to be the last in the compilation for a while, since they are concentrating on producing FFXIII and it's series (Fabula Nova Crystallis).
If you are refering to when you defeat him in Crisis Core. He didn't die. If you played the game you would've seen weiss and nero carry genesis into that helicopter. (it doesn't really tell you who they are though so it may be confusing)
under the city of midgar theres was another city known as the deepground.. thier leader is Weiss and until Vincent trying to save the world at dirge of ceberrus..we dont kno yet what really happen with genesis and why is back..we will find out >:O
this last scene means there HAS to be a sequel of dirge of cerberus (Time-plot wise) and genesis must be the antagonist/protagonist of the movie/game, right?
I'd not bet on a precise continuation. But Square do keep the door open for yet another VII game. Smart, too, seeing how popular VII is still, more then 10 years later.
sephiroth will always be the main threat and major power over any of the other characters! He's power is unreal!, The original and the best. Remember the very end battle with sephiroth at the end of FF7 when its jus cloud and him in the dark, then u unleash OMNISLASH! that was the coolest moment ever!

BC tells of the original turks against the first avalanch, crisis core shows how it all happened 4 years later its the main story of cloud's personal battle, then those damn remnents in advent children bring sephiroth back in the mix, then in dirge of cerberus, deepground is defeated by avalanch and Chaos and Vincent. Sadly it aint over, genesises is still alive, And Sephiroth "will never be A memory"

OgamiRei, that's Weiss the Immaculate from Dirge of Cerberus, and has a cameo appearance with his brother Nero in Crisis Core, when they take him away in a chopper close to the end of the game. He is a Tsviet, the elite of Deepground and due to this, he was given a color. His color was white, due to his birth standards, and he was later given G-Cells when reaching Triple SSS status in Deepground, and becoming a Tsviet. He was known as the 'Immaculate Emperor' within Deepground.

after weiss and nero take genesis to the helicopter at the end of crissi core. they go to deepground under shinra and are spliced with genesis genes and his genes also go to the tsivets "colored soldiers" from DoC and become his "brothers" and "sisters" . weiss and nero ask genesis to help them in their rebellion against the restricters, rulers of deepground, but genesis declines the offer and seals himself in a flooded cavern beneath midgar. and now he is out to protect the world.

You're a little out there, i'm afraid. Weiss, Nero, and the other Tsviets are given Genesis' cells the moment they reach Triple SSS status, when they are Tsviets - which happened quite a bit before CC, which was why President Shinra sent them to find Genesis, also knowing that they share his cells. They weren't given his cells when he was with them on the Helicopter journey, or at Deepground. As for the rest, you've gotten it just about right.

It's him, they put this in for a couple of reasons. First to introduce a main villain other than Sephiroth for the later to come ff7 crisis core. Also its unclear if he is going to be a villain or not, Im curious on how strong he has become since CC before him and Sephy were on the same level, but after Sephy traveled the life stream and gained its secrets his power has been unrivaled. Genesis is the Ying to Sephy's Yang so im looking forward to what they will do with his character

It's not announced yet, but S-E has an idea for the next Compilation title. They said that Advent Children Complete was to be the last in the compilation for a while, since they are concentrating on producing FFXIII and it's series (Fabula Nova Crystallis).

If you are refering to when you defeat him in Crisis Core. He didn't die. If you played the game you would've seen weiss and nero carry genesis into that helicopter. (it doesn't really tell you who they are though so it may be confusing)

sephiroth will always be the main threat and major power over any of the other characters! He's power is unreal!, The original and the best. Remember the very end battle with sephiroth at the end of FF7 when its jus cloud and him in the dark, then u unleash OMNISLASH! that was the coolest moment ever!

they are just trying to reproduce an old masterpeice into another masterpeice itself but failed badly, i just don't have that feel when playing crisis core lol yea the story was intresting but well it's just not like FF7. Angeal, genesis nothing distinctive about these characters it gets dull overtime ( always guy with fancy long hair, carrying a cool sword and a BIG bastard sword) well we arleady have cloud and sehp for that role we won't want that again

It's Crisis Core first, Final Fantasy VII next, Advent Children third, and, lastly, Dirge of Cerberus.
Crisis Core is the prequel to FFVII, following Zack's life. AC is the sequel to VII, and DOC follows one year after the events of AC.

BC tells of the original turks against the first avalanch, crisis core shows how it all happened 4 years later its the main story of cloud's personal battle, then those damn remnents in advent children bring sephiroth back in the mix, then in dirge of cerberus, deepground is defeated by avalanch and Chaos and Vincent. Sadly it aint over, genesises is still alive, And Sephiroth "will never be A memory"
