  • I agree i would shoot the builder or the tuner if i put that kind of $ in my rb25 and only made 290bhp . There are plenty of these engines making over that with stock turbos and normal bolt ons.

  • does a t3 turbo bolt right up to the stock manifold or is there some other modifications i would need plz only answers that make sense

  • Took my old Skyline turbo to Turbo Technics (In UK). they made it into a Garrett T3/4. £800. They used the original wastegate just bigger. **RB25DET's snap exhaust studs so make sure you renew them as caution if any one fit's a turbo**!! : D

  • did you do anythingelse on the engine? I mean, does the standard RB25 (piston, cams, rods...) stand a bigger turbo without modifying anythingelse?

  • no that was a factory motor with no tune or anything.. i did have a power fc i just didnt put it on during the time of me having that car..and it can handle it ...it was probly pushing over 300hp the way you see it in the video speaking it beat a 330hp s2000..and i was only running a 7 psi spring. but i dont own the car anymore.

  • @Evilman208 tell me then why mine only last week on a hub dyno(not rolling road)made only 290rwhp and its 20psi forged internals t3t4 turbo custom inlet manifold big inter cooler 2,1/2 inch piping 3"mandral bent exhaust 800cc injecters 500hp walbro fuel pump 38mm external waste gate and link ecu stand alone ps the tuner is well regarded here in nz and builds/tunes some very fast race cars 300hp standard my black arse keep it real buddy

  • @nataslider if you're only making 290hp, then why the hell are you running 800cc injectors? The RB comes factory just shy of 250hp, so either you're lying or your mechanic doesn't know what the hell he's doing. C'mon dude, get your head out of your ass.

  • @Tbang90 250bhp (braked horse power means flywheel bro)250flywheel hp standard 200 atw so a 90 hp atw gain is pretty good u might have to do more study my friend

  • @nataslider If your RB really has forged internals, 800cc injectors, and I'm assuming by 500hp you mean the 250lph pump, and running 20lbs of boost on a t3t4 turbo, 90hp gain is dead terrible. Sorry for your loss.

  • that depends again. cos i think this guy started out with a RB25DET and then added a t3/t4. if u start out with a RB25DE and then slap on a t3/t4 like i did, then ur gunna have to get a retune on the ecu(or get a new) and new fuel pump, or else ur engines jst gunna start missing nd cut out at 5000 rpm

  • are you using the rb25 gearbox?, engine costs around $2g, can find them for 1.5g, then gearbox is about 1.5g, when ever doing engine conversions i always add a extra $1000 just incase shit happens, except your in america so dno how much is costs over there, 240sx this in?

  • yeah i sold the car but it had the rb25 transmission with it i bought it has a engine set from jhot imports for around 1800 dollars.

  • what kind of flange did you use to bolt the SSQ BOV onto stock location?

  • yea that turbo by itself is over 1 grand!

  • yeah i bought that turbo for around 700 brand new and the wastegate was around 300 plus gaskets. so yeah around 1 grand for everything.
