this lady obviously just sucks at training them because I know people with them and they play with toys and interact with you and you can train them to use a litter box. wow lady. treat your animals better.
@chltmdwp yes i know there are many other pets out there that do not belong as domestic. but there are domestic cats, dogs, rodents, pocket pets, aquatic animals, and it should be litmitted to only that. not something from the wild, if u know what i mean
My husband really wanted one but I don't think it is a good idea. Yes, they are adorable-- but so are lots of wild animals. I'm sure there are many people who give them great homes, but to own an animal that is so unpredictable, for me, says that perhaps (in general) it should not be a pet. Maybe in the future, when they have more standard characteristics, but right now, it seems like they just shouldn't be indoors. They are gorgeous though, would love to see them in the wild! :)
I'm really considering getting one, there so cute!! I would be able to spend a lot of time with them, so hopefully I training wouldn't be to much of a hassle. If it is, its not like you could get mad at something that cute!
@xSouthParkFanx I saw them in nature program dinging for bugs in Sahara. Those large ears evolved over millenniums so Fennec foxes could hear scratching of a bug's legs under the sand. Those bread as pets are taken from the nature. If you check more about them, you'll see that even Fennec foxes bred as pets cannot be considered domesticated.
I am wondering if that is a ferret nation if so how easy is it for them to climb from the top level to the bottom or visa versa? do they have problems fitting through the opening to the different levels? Please answer back thank you
You say that Fennc Foxes are solitary animals yet the fennec live in large social groups called Harems. They do bond very well with their owners and have a need to be around others. They are the opposite of solitary. Also I have never seen or heard of a fennec fox that does not like toys. They have such a high energy level and love letting it out through toys and social interaction.
what a cute fox, though I think it's better in the wild.

why would you want a fox as a pet? I mean it would be nice to have one, but it's wrong... they belong in the wild, not on a leash

@Maui900 so did dogs, fish, cats, hamsters, birds, snakes, scorpions, etc.

Ya I would have one but I think I'd rather have a Red Fox, Gray Fox or Arctic Fox before a Fennec.

Don't keep wild animals as pets! It's so selfish to think only about yourself, animal would prefer to live in nature!

geobeats 4 months ago
@geobeats No! It's cruelty towards animals. When will people stop putting themselves in front of everything? If you love it, leave it in the wild.
VejaUndead 1 month ago
@geobeats Yes I would like a Fox but I want a Red Fox do you know about Red Foxes being kept as pets?
