  • oh is such a great player, too bad he is getting older..he really is enjoyable to watch..

  • Both are backhand king.

  • Mattenet has an amazing far distance backhand loop

  • Great backhands from both players!

  • Damn, Oh Sang Eun's backhand punch is just so good.

  • wow, isn't the BH at 4:30 supposed to be SLOW motion?? jeez...

  • crazy backhand from adrien

  • I think if waldner give is 100%, he get with his conditions now, he will win 4-0 over mattenet, cause I know waldner can break his attitude.

  • I just really do not like Mattenets attitude. He seems like he's extremely full of himself. Great player, but the way he yells after some points sounds very rude, and when he misses a shot he acts as if he's not giving the other player any credit for hitting a nice shot. He just seems to think that he's the best in the world or something, and he has no respect for other players. I didn't even see his hand go up after that edge that he got from the lob.

  • @xkaboomx I have had look again the video but Adrien is not too rude. In Champions league and professional game, player should be more aggressive and concentrate on the game itself. If player is too polite then he or she might lose the game. Timo Boll is too polite. That's why he is currently not number one. Ma Lin is really rude I think. That's why he can do concentrate on the game and win the game. Anyway I hate rude people.

  • @hjw1217 zhang jike is ruder. the rudeness helps put off players like timo boll - you can see it in the wttc - jike does annoying things before each crucial point, that you can see are meant to take away bolls concentration - this rudeness isnt why zhang won - it was just unnecessary bad sportsmanship

  • what's the beginning music

  • mattenet is awesome

    backhand machine

  • great backhand from adrien mattenet

  • Nice match

  • Oh Sun hat einen Stockfisch verschluckt.

  • Lanky vs Lanky, epic showdown!

  • @Opalance stfu your prolly a fat ass

  • @lolol801 No, I'm quite skinny actually. I dont know why you thought I was insulting them by calling them lanky, there's nothing wrong with being tall and having long limbs so I don't know why you consider lanky an insult.

  • good backhands at 0:40

  • a glass guy!

  • Mattenets backhand is very good!

  • I would really like to watch the match where Mattenet beat Maze in Champion's league

  • This Mattenet is rly good.. awsome backhand man.. Glad Oh won in the end xD

  • Is Adrien Mattenet the best player in the world who wears glasses??

  • Oh points to his temple to show that he uses strategy and brain to beat Mattenet.

  • What us the link between Omar Assar and this video?

  • Mattenet was an emotional hysteric that last set!

  • oh my goodness 6 backhands in a row, AWAY from the table ! this guy is the future of france!

    AWESOME

  • France has a pretty good youth right now. I think in 4-5 years they will be a solid european top team after germany. Worldwide, i think China, korea, singapore and japan will stay far ahead though.

  • Singapore isn't far ahead of European teams like Germany or Austria. And neither is Japan.

Only China and Korea are better.

  • @Tobiasdaneels I am also taking the women into account. If you just look at the men, maybe you are right.

  • My God.. Mattenet have a powerfull backhand. Oh yeahh, Kreanga vs Mattenet = Crazy backhands match *_* hehe 5/5!

  • I'd like to see Oh been defeated. Players in top rank have a diva like behavior against others who are low ranked. I'll never forget Kenta almost winning Ma Lin.

Defeats between low-high ranking players are "necessary" because they bring down to earth top players and give a chance to previously unknown players to show up. My opinion...

  • I didn't see any "diva like behaviour" from Oh.

But it is natural to go for the underdog

  • You're right, Oh was humble, he didn't think he would easily win as we can notice that he seemed to be relieved for winning against Mattenet...

  • well, he found himself loosing 9-7 in the 5th set, when we was winning 2-0, its normal we was relieved to win :P

  • oh is arguably top 8 material again for sure

  • In open, he reached 3 times the step of the last 16 doing good performance (Yang Zi, thiago Apolonia, Adrian Crisan...).He will certainly do better soon...

  • He plays a bit similar to Dima if you ask me, just with regular serves.

He should improve his forehand a bit, but he'll go up in the rankings soon enough if he performs like this in a major tournament

  • oh should have won 3 -0 almost choke again

  • mattenet really good

  • quality video! oh sang uen stepped it up in the last few points

  • why isnt he wearing contact lenses? does anybody know? first time i see a pro playing with glasses...

  • fabian akerström playes with glasses too

and i think dr. neubauer did that too

  • don't forget omar assar

  • Haha you think Mattenet wanted that one a little bit?

Yeah he's very good..looking forward to seeing more of him.

  • Never hear about Mattenet, but seems to be quite good. Imo he defends a bit too often; forehand isn't best yet but backhand looks almost perfect.

    Nice game.

  • yeah, I think you're right, he can improve his forehand and he is not enough agressive that that's why he didn't win. However, his backhand is very impressive, hope we can see him more often.

  • Wow, Mattenet is really good! And judging from is appearance he's young too! I hope he continues to improve. His style reminds me a bit of Ovtcharov's style.

  • Born in 1987.

  • Mattenet is n°80 in ittf ranking but he has won against maze and has worried Ma Lin (4 sets to 3, 12-10...)

  • Wow...

Thanks again to ttCountenance for uploading.

    Never saw Mattenet play.

Seems to be some kind of special...very good Backhand-Topspins.

  • check out the quality in a few minutes!

  • yea men ..... now its hell better !

  • I didn't think that Mattenet is that good o.O .

    0:30 is just amazing!

  • thanks for this video, Roskilde is one of the big favorites of ECL this years !
