  • Yep talked to John Hicks hope to make this months meeting.

  • @brit4a Awesome. I'll see you there.

  • Hope to talk to Kenny sometime I live in Conroe and I am looking to start Bee Keeping great video !

  • @brit4a Kenny is a great guy. So is his wife. I think you would love the information and support from the Montgomery county TX beekeepers association. For more info and to attend a meeting go to texasbeekeepersDOTorg/details/montgomery-county-beekeepers-association

  • I wish I knew what they were doing but still great video!

  • Awesome! I ordered my bees from Rossman Apiaries and they are supposed to be shipped next week so I hope to have them in a couple of weeks. My hive box is ready to go and just waiting for my bees to get home. I'll shoot a video and post it when I get them in the mail. Thanks for the great video.

  • @econewpower I look forward to seeing your video. Are you a first time beekeeper like myself?

  • @LDSPrepper Yes, I'll shoot a video of my beehive this weekend and post it with the location I picked and how I have it configured. I opted for a nectar jar in the front and will have a small opening for the first few weeks so they have a smaller entrance to defend until the colony numbers rise sufficiently to defend a larger entrance to the hive.

  • @econewpower Sweet! I look forward to seeing it.

  • quality vid,

    cheers.

  • That's amazing to watch the bees at work. Good for you getting started. Maybe sometime in the future for me...

  • @IllianaPrepper They are a blast to watch. It is wonderful having them in the backyard where I can walk out several times during the day and sit and watch them. They are amazing.

  • Great job again.

  • that would be cool but im allergic to bees so the risk out weigh the rewards.

  • That's crazy..... Did you read a book about bees

  • @survivaleveryday Yes. The beekeeping starter kit my wife got me for Christmas included a book entitled, "Backyard Beekeeper". It is excellent. So is the DVD that came with the kit. I also highly recommend finding a local city or county beekeeping association.

  • @LDSPrepper Beekeeper kit, where did she find it. You wife sound like a very cool wife. With the bees you really are being a conservator of nature.. keep up the great work my friend.

  • @survivaleveryday We get all our supplies from Brushy Mountain Bee Farm.

  • Guys good luck,,I watched this,, but dont like bees

  • Awesome! I would love to keep a hive. But I'm allergic to them. I can't wait to see your Honey production! :o)

  • Look into a "top bar hive", they are great. My Dad and brother both have one and love them. They open up like a grill. I just watched my bro spin out almost 4 gallons yesterday out of just 10 combs. Bees are incredible...

  • Great video, I dont know if I comfortable handling them myself. I dont even know if I could have them in my neighborhood. I dought that I would be able to, I think that it would be a real benifit to everyone especially those with gardens in my area. Keep us up to date on how you are doing with this project.

  • Thats is cool. Please keep us updated on how this all turns out.

  • It is truly amazing that he can work w/o gloves. He handled those bee's as if they were diamonds and they (the bee's) let him. It was as if the bee's knew he is their provider. Awesome video, thank you for sharing. I would like to learn more and see updates to your new hives and see how things progress. Mark

  • How are these bees not stinging you guys? He is picking them up with his bare hands! wow

  • @BKSinAZ Honey bees are not aggressive. Like you they only protect themselves, not attack. Since we are considerate of them and are moving the entire hive together they don't really mind. Kindness goes a long way, even in the insect world.

  • that was awesome!! i have never seen that before! thats exciting! are you new to bee keeping?

  • @see3ga This is my first bee hive. I am familiar with bees but I have never raised them. This is going to be a blast!

  • Great video, Mountainman likes bees he has always wanted to have hive. Thanks for sharing this with us..

  • How exciting-beekeeping!! Will be looking 4ward to the progress,

  • Great video! Bees kinda freak me out a bit though, I would probably feel more comfortable in the whole beekeeping suit too! Good luck with them. Maybe you could make a little video about where you set them up and some of the daily/weekly/monthly (whichever it is) care you give them? Thanks again!

  • @smh3w I will make more videos of the hive, how I manage it, daily routes, etc. I hope to get input from other keepers and share the great hobby of beekeeping.

  • Does it cost much to have a hive ? it looks like a very good thing to have. thanks for sharing

  • Very good video.looking forward to see how things progress.

  • hi just asking is the lds church in ct as preper minded as your church is

  • @tomyhill123 I don't know. I sure would hope so. You can call them and ask if they have anything going on as far as food storage training, etc. I am sure they would love to help.
