YET, you are not wrong. The meaning of the acts passage is still as you have said. We can only manifest any obedience because of GRACE. The commandments were given as an act of GRACE. The ability to understand them is an act of grace. The ability of obey them is an act of grace. The CONVICTION to even THINK about them is an act of grace. SO, YES, All glory to Yahweh for Yahshua. It was a day that the pagans worshipped the SUN not Jesus and the Christian world accepts this as the Lords day. The Bible tells us which day is the Lords day and it is the Seventh Day Sabbath. Johns commandments are 1. believe in Jesus and 2. love one another. what gets irritating is that the ENTIRE NEW TESTAMENT teaches the truths of the NEW COVENANT. there was no law before Moses and there is no law after Jesus. You have completely missed the essence of what Jesus taught. that salvation is IMPOSSIBLE with man when its based on keeping the law, or rules. but it IS POSSIBLE when it is a total GIFT of Gods GRACE

Christianity is not a system of rules. Unfortunately, I can see how you'd come to that conclusion because of misguided Christians who focus on rules. Christianity is a relationship with God through faith in His Son. Sadly, the purity of authentic Christianity has often been polluted with a legalistic (rules-keeping)emphasis. Christ is the sum and substance of our faith. You've mistaken authentic Christianity with a "Christian religion" that distorts the truth that Christ alone is what matters.

@destronia123 He's either a liar or someone altered his letters, either way the Pauline Epistles are a fraud. Remember when Jesus said not to swear oaths? Paul appears to do it five times within his letters. If he was taught directly by Jesus Christ then he would know not to swear. Re: Romans 1:9, 2 Cor 1:2,3, Phil 1:8; 1 Thes 2:5,10; and Gal. 1:20 If a preacher doesn't have a full beard I won't even consider what he says. Leviticus 19:37 The commandments are meant to be kept.

The Holy spirit wrote the entire new testament through the men HE CHOSE! the message has perfect unity from Matthew to Revelation when you read it in its context. Are you really going to make the case that the entire new testament teaching consists of 4 gospels and a couple epistles written at the VERY END of the apostolic ministry and covering virtually nothing relating to Christian doctrine? We throwing out acts aslo then? no Pentecost no gifts.. sheeh..
