  • miss Ed.

  • Poor old Ed. When I think of his passing, some of the brightness goes out of my day...

  • Interesting how he averts the question on the origin of the classical theme which Matthew Fisher ended up being credited for in rexent days via the High Court of London.

  • @Cerdes0000 He doesn't avoid it. He demostrates the origin is J.S.Bach Air in G string and Fisher just improvised (brilliantly but simply) over the musical structure bred two centueries ago and materialized by Brooker, the unique author of the music.

  • I knew Ed when he was still on WMMR. Went away one summer, just before Elvis died, and there was a coup at the station. Ed ended up at WIOQ and elsewhere. I use to go visit his place in the same building as Princess Grace's apartment. Still have that Ray Davies interview disc you autographed for me, Ed, never sold it in Goldmine (which you thought I would). RIP to a dj that actually cared about what his listeners were hearing.

  • one of my good memories from him(albeit a tame one) was him playing Spooky from Classics iv on Halloween, cicra 1990 or 1991.

  • I miss Ed. He changed my life playing music on WYSP in the late 80s that I never thought was possible. Crimson, Genesis, Van der Graaf. Guy had great taste.

  • Ed ruled WYSP early 90's.

  • miss you, Ed.

  • Ermm...Just Gary's voice und the Keyboard...sounds pretty spectacular!!

I guess he wrote this ??...
