My advice is plug into a real tube amplifier and run your pod X3 pro through it...Then you will get that La Roque sound! It's the tube drive that is missing, but you have the sound mostly nailed...I've messed around with the pro line pod stuff for years until I got my tube amp and that makes a huge difference. Hope this helps, otherwise great playing and a delight as I am a huge King Diamond fan!

I just subscribed to your channel and would love to perhaps give it a shot singing on it...I'm more of a King Diamon/Crimson Glory influenced vocalist, but I know King Diamond real well. I did a cover long time ago of "Sleepless Nights" also on POD X3 PRO. You blow me away as far as guitar skill though! So keep up the good work and I will give that cover a shot! :)

Great man, i`ve been following you for a while now, and I can say for sure that the tone has improved a lot here. Sounds soo much more pro compared to before... Is it just the fact that you use usb connection now, or is it the processor itself that gives that feeling to it? Oh, and 6:16 \m/

@Testamented91 Thanks. It's probably both. Also the Pod x3 offers dual tones which is a nice advantage over the "old" xt live I previously used. So you can have a fuller sound. You can run and record two separate amp/effects chain setups at the same time which is really nice.

@BozKiller Thanks. Actually my recording just changed a little. Previously I recorded with my Pod xt live directly, which only worked via analogue out/in. For this cover I used the POD x3 pro for the first time which finally allows a direct usb connection with better sound quality. I'm still figuring out some details but so far it works great. I didn't find any useful KD patches so I had to create my own one. It's not perfect but I'm quite happy how the tone came out.

On my side I'm bored with recording (or maybe am I just too bad at it), I plug the output of my small mixing board inside my Mac, but then the sound is just bad, and doesn't sound as I ear it from my amp :) Nevermind, but any trick is welcome ;)
