@triplejayvideos great so i found it it was 60 bucks now im going crazy trying to learn a song but have no idea where to find notes or tabs or anything
@kirkleeslater if you've played a reed instrument before, just keep in mind that you'll keep more of the mouth piece in your mouth than your used to, if not that wont be a problem, just take air into the sides of your mouth at a rest and remember to bring your lower lip over your teeth to rest the reed on, practice makes perfect and I've found the instrument a lot of fun in the short time I've owned mine. I hope you and all others do as well ^,^
Nice playing. I had an on line version of moonglow that was amazing. I've never played a reed instrument and I just bought a xaphoon. lol I can get a sound out of it. But, it will take some practice to not make the cats run away. hahaha In the end, I hope my kids 10 and 9 get a chance to use it before Junior High. I play the guitar and have played the trombone in grade 7 and trumpet from grade 8 through high school. This should be fun, at least for me.
difficulty somewhere between a saxophone and a clarinet, a much richer sound than its size would suggest. The experienced sax player will find the Xaphoon a fantastic instrument to play and easy to adapt to also you will find that the Xaphoon is capable of all the subtle shadings and vibrant power of a saxophone. Hope thats helped
I've got the ABS one. There are millions of clarinets and oboes in regular use that are ABS . . . as well as recorders and "tin" whistles. Yes, there is a difference - but it is relatively slight, and the ABS is zero-maintenance. You never have to worry about the effects of humidity, wood-rot, etc. Living in Canada, it can get very dry in winter, and wooden instruments can crack if not properly humidified. The ABS is the ultimate "portable" instrument, as this fellow has demonstrated.
hey how much is something like this cost?
