Bought, it sure does glide on a medium beard, you have to push down a little bit to know you're moving along... that lasts about two shaves, on the third shave... it's tuggin'. Don't buy this shit, just get bic disposables. Or the novelty item shaving razor automatic sharpener.

The green strip only last for 3 or 4 shaves for me. The blade is still good so you can keep using it and you will still get a smooth shave. You just won't get the gel feel on your face when you shave when the green is gone. Gillette promotes that you should replace it once the green strip is gone. BS. You will still get a nice shave once that is gone. Blade are very expensive tho. I got good deals on Ebay for the blades.

This thing is a big waste of money. Lots of ingrown hairs and unless you shave twice a day it clogs after two passes. Trust me, a 5-pack of single bladed Bic razors does the same job for only $2.

I recently bought a straight razor with 100 disposable blades for $45 and it gets rid of the longest beard with only 1 pass. Also I don't have to worry about buying razors in something more than a year. With this crap I would spend $200-250 a year (plus the cream for ingrown hairs).

they are not overpriced if you notice the blades last a very very long time......... due to vibration..... i used one for 3 months and still got fairly good shaves........ so 4 blades lat me a year........... but i find it ODD... gillette has made the PROGLIDE without batteries....... or  vibration... guess they knew FUSION... was lasting too long.

@mysticradio yeah here in America I pay $20 for 4. It's common marketing, same reason why printers are cheap (usually being sold at a loss) but ink cartridges are expensive -- you already have the base product so you're more likely to buy the (costly) refills.

fusion power is the best! I tried so many razors, but finally gillette made THE PERFECT ONE! Really. After shaving I have baby face without irritation (I have sensitive skin, I must shave every day...) Gillette, dont waste anymore money for research! :D Cant make better!

I've always use the fusion maybe because it looks cool and has 5 blades. However blades are a little expensive at the store 4 for like 20 something bucks, so i'll rather get them from ebay. 8 for 20 bucks and most of the time free shipping.

I've tried a few of the Gillette replacement cartridges such as the : Sensor, Sensor Excel, Mach III, Mach III Turbo, Fusion, Fusion Power, Straight Razors & soon I'll be using a Safety Razor. I can honestly say that while I love Gillette razors, their pricing is absolutely ridiculous! It's insane. I tried straight razor shaving but my skin didn't react very well to it, so I sold it and ordered a Safety Razor. I'm hoping it will work out, because Gillette Fusion is just too expensive.

13 bucks at Walgreens. They say that blades decrease in sharpness 5% each shave so I usually toss mine after the 5th shave with it. and I clean them with alcohol so the blade stays sharper longer. My calculations...a dollar a shave. I want to buy an old safety razor those blades are 10 cents a piece!

The fusion blades are still expensive. Go for the quattro titanium blades I would say. The normal quattro is rubbish, but the titanium is very good.

I've had problems with cuts/razor burn./bumps etc for years and mach 3 turbo is by far the most comfortable and safest razor i've ever tried. I havent tried the fusion-interesting to see if it's better or worse but for now the mach 3 turbo is fine with me.

I used Gilette G-II for many years, it was Gilette's biggest success and simplest razor. The advantage was that you totally controlled the razor because was stable. Gilette discontinued the catridges just a month before as I noticed. And I say good bye to the bast and enjoyable shaving. I will try the Mach-3 now. Fusion catridges may be also expensive. And you know that a Fusion gel just costs 5 euros here at Europe (say about 6 US dollars)!

time tested for over 100 years...the best 'shaving system'...and yes they still make them...the btw, author of the video...the fusion comes with 4 or 8 cartridges per pack and the average price in town for my area is $14 for a pack of 4...4!! yes, only 4!! and of course $27 for a pack of only 8! the tagline for fusion should read...

Gillette Fusion, now you can shave your face with 5 mediocre blades!

and it the shave sucks...you can always use it as a vibrator...

@Tyronieus Yeah but gillettes shaver is much much better. No way to cut yourself, much less irritation. Besides the blades themselves are really good. I dismantled a blade head and compared gillette's blades to other blades. Gillette is way ahead. The blades are super sharp. I don't even know how they get them that sharp.

I've read numerous reviews on this, and they seem mixed. I think you're just better off buying the replacements blades or as

"tehkirko" mentioned in an earlier post, you might want to try Safety Razors. The older methods of shaving are in fact the cheapest ways of shaving : Straight Razors or Safety Razors. They are simply the BEST & cheapest shaves you can get.

The Fusion in my opinion is an awesome razor. I've never gotten a closer, quicker shave from any razor. Period.

However, lol, there's no way I'm going to spend $25 on a 8 cartridge refill, when I can buy 10 double edge blades for $1.75 at Wal-Mart.

The closeness of shaves between a fusion and my safety razor are equal, it just takes more effort with my safety razor.

Also, I find the fusion slightly more irritating around the neck area.

The Fusion looks good but its NOT a good razor . The Mach3 is much better and you get a faster cleaner shave wih MACH3 ....the FUSION leaves stubble behind.....its a shame because most younger people who are buying their first razor will be attracted to FUSION but maybe they wont have tried MACH3 and realise that MACH3 is actually better.
