  • Do not know why, but Antheil’s Jazz Sonata seems cold and unhospitable, whereas Kapustin’s music is all warm and kind, full of humour and caress addressed at the listener. It was written to be loved.

  • Jazzy Prokofiev

  • @coasteman16 Oops. Steven. Not sure to spell it with a v or a ph. Not interesting really. It was 10 years ago!

  • Simon Osborne did a great CD of Kapustin in 2000 I think, with Hyperion. (I page turned - for 3 long, but fun, days!)

  • @osborne0075 For someone who claims to have page-turned for him, it's interesting that you don't know his first name.

  • Megkülönböztetett szeretettel küldeném e pár hangot Balogh Máté kollegának(de azért a többiek is lájkolhatják (: )

  • wow!

  • Would love it if you would post the first movt of this as well.

  • @dstumpf1 i can upload the first mov but lazy to put it with score.. i can send the score and you look it yourself..

the first mov sounds nice but too long..

  • Only Hamelin can be this explosive and fiery. He is to jazz what Argerich is to Ginastera!

  • That's right, the majority of this piece is in 4/4-7/8-4/4-3/8 time!

  • @HomelyCooking should be 4/4 - 7/8 - 4/4 - *5/8

  • @coasterman16 You're right, thanks.

  • the piece, Marc-André Hamelin, pedaling, and technical prowess is just absolutely amazing

  • Congrats buddy, you did a fantastic job.
