Yeah, anyone looking for the original video, just search "Airborne Toxic Event Sometime Around Midnight Original Video". That should bring up two or three link options for the much superior (IMO) first vid for this. Sure, there's less eye-catching camera work, but it's better about featuring the band, the lead singer looks hotter, the brunette woman is more interesting/less-typical-music­-video-cast-actor than the blonde in this DJ Caruso-directed vid (just personal preference there).

I read some reviews on Airborne Toxic Event, this song in particular. These reviews seemed to indicate that people feel that this song is overwritten, overdone, and melodramatic.

I'm so sorry that some of us have feelings.

Absolutely amazing song. Saw them at Coachella. This song took almost every other performance on the main stage and ripped them apart. The only show better was Paul McCartney, and you're damn good if you're comparable to a Beatle.
