  • Cool David Soul really had a lot of SOUL

  • ahhh punk rock has a lot to answer for....YIPEE

  • oh for a time machine to go back to then...

  • brings back great memories when life was a whole lot simpler, classics like this are are great to put on and think of the good old days

  • @lancerpsycho Life just wasn't simpler and the "good old days" were pretty much the same as these fairly normal days are now. We just remember things that way, for some reason. It's called the Historian's Fallacy. If you were to go back to those days as they were, and I'm not talking Hot Tub Time Machine where it's future you inhabiting past you, then you'd be talking about how the 70s suck. You'd put on your best Travolta outfit and think abt how the 60s were so much simpler. Such is life.

  • @lancerpsycho I'm not knocking your desire to return to a time when we were young, I'm just saying that it's only great looking back. Looking forward from back then, it was just as complicated. I think that this whole idea was best captured by "The Wonder Years." The concept that our youth was magical, but that it was magical because everything was new to us is what made us who we are. Winnie married somebody else, Paul turned into a tool, Jack died of a heart attack. That's how things go.

  • roy west

  • @Gal80s you met him :0

Spill....spill! I know he screwed up BIG TIME but he was still the love of my life- when I was 10 and I had it all planned out how he was gonna come for me on his white horse:)

    Thanks for posting x

  • Had no idea he's 'one of the wife-beaters'!

  • @dannyalba1 Isn't it strange that when someone makes a comment like LettersAtoZorNos029 that their account gets closed up. David Soul IS one of the good guys!!!

  • I had a crush on David Soul at 12. At 13 I went to my first concert ever -- his and at 19 I met him while I was at a phone booth in Miami Beach. By then I had gotten over my crush but the experience of meeting my first crush was something I will treasure forever.

  • Always liked David Soul; one of the good guys!

  • Great song, brings back happy memories for me. I was 17 in '77 when this was out and totally in love with a stunning girl called Stephanie. She was a David Soul fan, every time I hear this I am reminded of her!

  • Listen for great music like this on a new radio station called "OffTheCharts" - featuring 70's (and some 80's) lost hits and chart wonders!

Go to Live365.com, type OFFTHECHARTS in the Search box and click on the station logo. The audio stream should begin. Become a VIP member and listen commercial free!

  • this is bloody brilliant...for get starsky and hutch,[which was fantastic, but of its time ] this man sings from the heart, and his acting career should not be compared to his singing career.although his acting was great . he is a bloody fantastic singer too,if not better. brian

  • Now that's what I call a decent oldie! Bayern Eins, wenn Ihr Oldies liebt dann bitte nicht immer der gleiche Schmarrn sondern lieber so was :)

  • great memories great music.

  • Great record. I Met David Soul in 1999. He's the man. And he kicked some serious vampire ass in Salems Lot. Nice.

  • great tune

  • The minute I hear the instrumental at the start it evokes so many memories for me, the summer of '76, school days, being young and having a full head of hair to freak out [Lol,], David Soul was dynamite in his time, I reckon just like most great singers a lot of what he sang was a reflection of himself, his own life and the kind of person he was, not a bad person of course but he really was and is always drifting, searching just like he said in the song.

  • lol, he got SOUL. indeed
