  • The teradactyl scream makes me vision a spaceship time travelling to the jurassic period. The astronauts are stoners blown out of there mind slow as hell on halfstep trippin, but the experience is dope and intense!

  • 3:00 is all togethor

  • 2:11

  • 1:58

  • Wow This is really good and from the looks of those top reply comments you know your stuff keep making music

  • Comment removed

  • Stupid troll video.

  • Sounds like the first dubstep song ever...not so good, but keep tryin

  • That shit came out pretty good

  • WUBWUBWUBWUBWUBWUBWUBWUBWUBWUBWUBWUBWUBWUBWUB

  • What are you using in User 2?

  • 0:05 hehehehe

  • savage man

  • What is that called the little sound bord thing

  • Im wondering how you got the different wobble steps!

    Nice vid!

  • Can you just plug one of these in and play?

  • wow this made my ears trip, sounds great from the speakers + is an awesome track.

  • you're incredible! I'm illiterate when it comes to making music, but i am definitely buying a launchpad!

  • He's using the launchpad to control the LFO sync rate and a few other parameters I believe.

  • @MrFeyerwire By default, the buttons on the launchpad only light up when in session mode, as you can see at the beginning of the video when I trigger the drum loop. For the majority of the video I am using User 2 mode, which only sends MIDI and doesn't receive it - this is why the buttons don't light up in this mode.

  • @ThomasPurcell1 So your setting the frequency of your lfo via mapped buttons... aaaah endless possibilities! I need to get one of these!

  • @MrFeyerwire The reason my finger movements appear out of time with the music is because the main parameter I am adjusting is the LFO rate - the LFO is synced to the global tempo, which means I can hit the button slightly before the beat and the LFO's pulse will still remain consistent with the tempo. This is mainly just so the 'wobble' is always in time with the beat no matter when I (sloppily) trigger the changes.

  • @ThomasPurcell1 also home video isnt the most in synch of things..

  • @MrFeyerwire BITCH!

  • @MrFeyerwire They only light up in while mixing

  • @MrFeyerwire Who would waste their time faking a video like this...

  • @MrFeyerwire your moms dick is fake

  • @MrFeyerwire hahahaha you have no idea what you're talking about...

  • @MrFeyerwire some guys dont get it...

  • how mush that cost

  • Are you using the Launchpad to controll the LFO or is that just the clip thats playing?

  • Sounds ok, but I bet you didn't do much to get this. You got the drum in a loop, and it's even not made of you. The wobble bass is straight from one tutorial I saw here in youtube. You just mess with the resonance and the sync rate. I'm a bit amazed how much people here like this :o

  • wub wub wub

  • This guy is the next datsik... That is what dubstep is supposed to sound like! ... Cheers

  • Fucking awesome mate!

  • How are you changing the LFO settings like that in user mode? That's insane. Keep up the good work.

  • se repite muxo al principio xD xroo ta perfet grat

  • pretty coool

  • prety dam good.

  • how does this work? sounds etc...do make them or what?im so confused haha please help

  • @DJWHITESOUND Oh, don't be so hard on yourself man!

  • so your bob..

    bob what ?

    BOBWOBWOBWOB WOWAWAWAWAWA WOBWOBWOBWOB WUBWUBWUB

  • awesomeee

  • What are you doing when the buttons are not lit up?

  • @koooohoooh I'm not 100% sure but I think when Launchpad is lit up like that it's in 'session mode' and he's dealing with his Ableton loops. When it's not lit up he's in one of the 'user' modes. Basically just using various effects on said loops. There could be more going on here, but that's just a basic idea of what's happening.

Again, I'm not 100% sure about this, so please correct me if I'm wrong.

  • can I play tetris with a lauch pad?

  • its so wobbley i fell off my chair XD

  • Where did you get these samples? :)

  • is it hard to lean Ableton?

  • Where the fuck can I BUY THIS!?!??!?!

  • @lilshitstv1 the internet. it's called a novation launchpad. they're like $150

  • can u do a tutorial plz caus i might buy 1

  • dude, whatever the fuck this thing is, i want one.

  • WOWOWOWOWOWOWWOO WOAHWOAHWOWOWOW

  • Son now you know that paper is due Friday and it's Thursday evening.

And your here making dirty dubstep for us.

    Thank you ;)

  • Very nice. How'd ya do this? Linked another user mode to the rate of an LFO in a synth? Or am I completely off. Sounds like more is going on.

  • I think you are correct. not just the LFO but also the cut off filter ect.

  • @86justchris Watching it again, it looks like the first row of pads is linked to the LFO, and the 2nd row to the base cutoff level.

  • Fucking awesome, man

  • could you please tell me how you map the LFo to the launchpad?

  • What the hell r u doin with ur hands ?

  • HOT FIYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

  • nice keep up the good work

  • ima assume your just changen the rate on the lfo? Can you set each button to a individual lfo rate like one 1/16 1/8 and so on? ah so great if you can. Kinda anoying to have to twist a knob past 1/16th to get to a 8th note from a like 32 note. If that MAKES any sense.

  • @dojaham that's what it looks like huh? Stay tuned... I am going to pick on of these up today and I will let you know...

that's if i don't get sucked into the music n forget!! hahaha

    search soundcloud for GiaN

  • Please, how to change wobble like you did it? THX, i need know what effect to use

  • I thought you had to use a controler with this?

  • This should be a commercial for the launchpad

  • I would buy this song.

  • Please tell me how to do that?!?!?!?!

  • for everyone that doesnt know out there....ableton live is a DAW and mixing program...therefore it has a sequencer and you can load samples/loops to it...the launchpad comes with a demo version but its basically useless. the launchpad only triggers the samples or loops you have loaded up in ableton, and you can active effects on it too. but all the sounds coming out are loops/samples or he made the synths and added midi notes

  • so where do you download "live" or does it come with it?

  • nice wobbling

  • dude you got a comment from Bassnectar. FUCK YEAH!

  • @bradnightmare - what is bassnectar's account name?

  • @zevex747 BassnectarLabs

  • Why are there no lights being activated when you are altering the LFO and Frequencies?

  • @cprice515 You have to set up a midi monitor channel that sends to the launchpad, which can be annoying because it also shows the lights in session and mixer view.

  • Big up respect! like the jam and even Lorin himself commented on it sickkkk

  • i have a launchpad but i dunno how to do dubstep on it please help :)

  • someones been watching dubspot vids.

  • were you actually doing that because your non consistent hand movements confused me, how does that thing work?

  • so you've just recording the drums and bass line and you're just controlling the filter with the pad?

  • if u buy a launch pad is there any other software or hardware u need to make sound like this lol? or is it just some board loaded up with a bunch of loops?

  • @seranrapp The Launchpad is just a controller, so yes, you do need software to make sound. I use Ableton Live on my laptop, controlled by the launchpad. there are no sounds built-in to the launchpad itself.

  • @ThomasPurcell1 Hey i use fl studio if i buy this thing can i use it?

  • @ThomasPurcell1 how much did ur software + launchpad cost alltogethor ?

  • @ThomasPurcell1 i have one quiestion too.the software you have to buy it separatly from the launchpad, right?and if yes, for how much.thank you

  • @ThomasPurcell1 How do you get sounds?

  • @seranrapp if you want something like this with sounds built in i think the maschine is what ur looking for but i mght be wrong

  • 2:06 makes me think of the transition of boy to man

  • Very nice!

  • You: Fuck homework.. Lets make some Dub.

    Me: Awesome.. o.O

  • too cool

  • What programme are you triggering with the launchpad?

  • @cutthroatgentlemen needs to ableton with automap in the background with user 1 buttons map to something like the amout of WOBBLE

  • Bassnectar himself said youre fucking good xD Damn the Vids nice

  • some midi potis would work better for wobble modulation

  • cool shit man! simple and fresh

  • BASSNECTAR in denver this saturday!!!.... hes watchin uuu fuuu...!!

  • Thats sick man, you got Bassnectar watchin your vids!

  • I'm new to this Launchpad, how could I get that wobble effect and how would I be able to control the effects like you are in this video?

  • just ordered one of these last night...can't wait to get it looks hella fun

  • badass

  • you just map the LFO rate to a midi controller (in this case the launchpad) and have it modulate a low pass filter.

    awesome work man.

  • so awesome, how did u create your wobble using simpler on ableton for the launchpad?

  • Nice Wobble!!! i like your Drum's and Snare's

    DUB!

    Motherf******

    STEP!

  • bassnectar tracks, nice.

  • how much is one of those?

  • kewl as man :)

  • filthy nasty bass like it

  • My guess is that you're assigning one launchpad control for each LFO Sync Rate beat in Simpler between about 1/8 to 1/32?

  • Arghhh!! what midi controls do you have bound to the pad!

  • What controls do you use on your pad to change the wobble line?

  • dude that is sick. what program are you running on there? is that just ableton live? that wobble is sick if you got time you should tell me how to set that shit up!

  • very nice dude!

  • fuck this totally makes me wanna buy a lunchpad!

  • @TheSoobs you buy it, i hqve one and it's awesome

  • @TheSoobs om nom nom lunchpad

  • Welldone mate, i have been looking to buy my own launchpad for hobbies sake and i think cuz of u i am going to purchase one :D Welldone mate

  • thats really cool!

youre fucking good at that thing

i've never used one before, but if its possible, i would suggest three things:

    1. another track that plays consistently with swells and builds that hit ever 16 or 32 bars, to help keep it fresh and less loopy

    2. a "chicka chicka" percussion track that you can pop in and out (even a shaker)

    3. a gate on your high-pitched synth, so you can hot-swap the rate of the gate, and interlock that rythm with your LFO rate on the bass synth

    :)

    L

  • Respond to this video...
