@samthepsycicclam I'm a professional Shakespearean actor and having to perform this on a daily basis I agree with you that Shakespeare is not like the popular image that the majority have of it. I disagree however, with your statement that Colbert was terrible at it and that Shakespeare did not use words like this. "Go, sirrah, trudge about" Romeo and Juliet, Act I Scene ii, Line 35. Colbert came up with this on the fly and was supposed to playing an OVERLY DRAMATIC Shakespearean actor.

@samthepsycicclam If it had only said Shakespearean actor, then yes, it would be a quite terrible performance. As it is, the performance was quite excellent. I wish the actors that I worked with were so skilled at makespeare when they fumble or forget their line. It was actually almost restoration acting style, which was famous for how over dramatic it was. If only he had really exaggerated his body movements.
