i started when i was 3 years old and done it for another 8 years, stopped when i was 11 started back 2 years later and still going i couldnt stay that long away from it! was doing 21/2 hour classes 4 times a week though!!lmao
well it is best too,but you can start any time, adults and kids do it. You just need to be able to put the really hard work in to do well, you need a bit of money as well. I started when i was 5 and quit wheni was 11 so i done it for a good 61/2 yrs and i done pretty well, [not being big headed] Theres usually 3-5 classes a week, depending on the school its tiring but its a greatplace to make mates
While picking it up from a young age can sometimes help, it doesn't really matter. I didn't start until I was 10 and a lot of dancers start when they are teenagers or adults. Most schools that I know of let you take as many or as little classes as you want when you start, though if you get heavy into competing and are doing well you may be required to take more. It can be expensive, but its a fantastic dance form, and if you really want to try it I would go for it.
i danced for 15years, then gave up because of college etc, but its 7years later and i went back, i missed it everyday and im now competing in the all-ireland n feb.
wow, you qualified! you should be so proud! i'd die if i had to quit my entire life is dance, new dress, new wig, new shoes, new socks, new glue and if i'm not talking about those, then chances are im dancing!
This is just sad! afterr doing SO well, you've quit... i haven't done even close to as well as you have and could never quit!!! Hopefuly you'll see how much you miss it and come back to this wonderful seperate world of irish dance!!!
im of to my Feis in Belfast next week cant wait will you ever go back to dancing do you think i love my dancing and iv just got a new pink and silver dress shoes socks and a wig so im all kitted out im so excited
