  • this YRR Christian is coming around to Johnny Mac and his preaching of the Gospel.

  • It is so painful to see people who do or should know, claim that Arminius taught people "do something" for salvation. That is not what Arminius taught. His def. of total depravity was the same as Cal. i.e, unless God draws people--by grace, one cannot reach out for salvation The issue is: as part of that grace, are people 'allowed' (using their will) to resist that grace--Arm says yes; Cal:no.

Most Arms. also teach that God's Sov'ty falls under God's Love and Goodness: Love governs sov'ty

  • @jimmme5880 What is more painful is to think that a 'man' has the 'ability' to CHOOSE to follow God apart from God choosing us. When the Bible makes it clear everywhere, that we are dead to our sins until he opens up are eyes.

  • I hae read many teachings from John Wesley. To say that what he teached is heresy is terrible. I most align my beliefs with the doctrines and teachings from "calvinist" preachers so it's not a this ideology vs this ideology. We should be 100 percent followers of Jesus Christ and not 100 percent believers in Calvin.

  • @TheNatureBoyWooooo to say 'im a calvinist' isnt to say 'i follow/believe in Jonn calvin. It means in regards to Gods sovereignty in election/salvation i line up with what Calvin believed. These issues arent secondary either, they are of absolute importance as they deal with Gods glory in salvation. unity in the body of Christ is very important, but not at the expense of truth.

  • Good sermon. The HS must draw a sinner to God.
