I recently picked this game up for nostalgia, and the campaigns were fun but this whole game could have been so much better. 360 online is basically dead.

pretty sure if you're too stupid to memorize 3 slightly different controls you really shouldn't be playing modern games at all.
also there are tutorials for each campaign flat out telling you the controls, you don't have to truly learn them you just have to retain them which is maybe about as hard as breathing.
This game is epic and the only problem is the fact that it doesn't stand up to par with the older PC games.
i hate to say it but the older games make this one look like crap in the older ones you would get swarmed out of your mind by the aliens and you would have low amounts of ammo and it would be quite challenging this one is a pussy version of it and should not be this way it should of had more better creators and no 1 hit kill attack >_>

i never found an unresponsive control... and bitbat9 your right; the controls are frustrating if your a retard lol. the controls are easy to learn i never get mixed up with them. and this game doesnt lag a lot, it lags as much as any game (rarely). and the one hit kill is a good thing, its fun when u sneak up on someone and rip their head off. this game is the shit, the only bad parts is the lines that the marines say are repetative, they say "dont relax just yet, marines" like 3000000 times

Along with some human weapons that are quite usless like the sniper rifle and flame thrower and sometimes the handgun.
With the one hit kill system that suffers also as sometimes your online opponent somes moves a little bit you press the x button and then it doesn't respond and thus your one hit kill is botched.

In general i'm sorry about the previous comment as a misunderstanding but i think in my perspective that the game could have used a lot more balance changes to make the online gameplay that bit better.
This review is pretty much spot on except for a few other problems such as lag in the game sometimes causes you to die sinatnly without you knowing and showing you the kill cam, also theres the melee system for the humans in the multi player as they don't exactly shove the alien and predator further away to be able to get enough bullets into them, theres also the aspect that humans don't have flares in the multi player and with dim torch lights makes the darkness your total enemy.
The stealth kills take way to long, they should just be quick kills and not 10 secs gory animations. Save the gore for the trophy kills. Also, how come marines get no stealth kills? The marines should have a combat knife and sneak up on predators and just jump on' em and stab them in the neck a couple times.
This game is fun at times but the controls do get frustrating, especially when you stealth attack and the controls are non-responsive...and the online, 1 hit kills suck when your a beginner and trying to get use to the controls
I can't wait for the new movie "Predators", coming out in June. It looks gritty, violent and badass. Hopefully, it's rated R, so we can say goodbye to that tame AVP PG-13 stuff. It's all good, but I like Predator to be protrayed as a sophisticated and vicious hunter.

Just because of this game, I became a fan of AVP.

also the control isn't bad (3 different sets to learn) wow alienating retards.
pretty sure if you're too stupid to memorize 3 slightly different controls you really shouldn't be playing modern games at all.
also there are tutorials for each campaign flat out telling you the controls, you don't have to truly learn them you just have to retain them which is maybe about as hard as breathing.
This game is epic and the only problem is the fact that it doesn't stand up to par with the older PC games.

i hate to say it but the older games make this one look like crap in the older ones you would get swarmed out of your mind by the aliens and you would have low amounts of ammo and it would be quite challenging this one is a pussy version of it and should not be this way it should of had more better creators and no 1 hit kill attack >_>

i think if it was givin another year, it would of been a thousand times better. for some reason it looks and feels like it was rushed into releasing it, which is a shame, this game had such potential. hopefully colonial marines will be good.

I hate this game, the only thing that was fun was the first minutes of the alien story and the marine story, the matchmaking was terrible. i literly sat for over 15 min to get into an online match.

@RanzerN In your opinion it's a waste of money. But to thousands of people they feel like it's money well spent. If you want a tip on getting games, first figure out what kind of gamer you are. Do you like open world games mainly, FPS's, RTS's. A game can be great but that doesn't necessarily mean it's for you. Fall Out 3 was an Excellent title in many people's minds, but I cannot play it past a few hours,

an alien of a predator is not going to tap you on the shoulder and ask you if you whould like to be hit a few times before it kills you. no its going to kill quickly and silently, one hit kills arent a big deal.

Way to go by developers to disappoint so badly. This franchise deserves better. I'm waiting for next-next gen games to incorporate virtual reality helmet play. Then it'll be scary to stalk the space station corridors!

a friend brought this game over one day and we tried it for a few hours. gotta say, the controls are pretty good, sound is good, and overall gameplay is pretty action-packed. even though I did just play as predator, the game doesn't seem to be as bad as everyone says

i never found an unresponsive control... and bitbat9 your right; the controls are frustrating if your a retard lol. the controls are easy to learn i never get mixed up with them. and this game doesnt lag a lot, it lags as much as any game (rarely). and the one hit kill is a good thing, its fun when u sneak up on someone and rip their head off. this game is the shit, the only bad parts is the lines that the marines say are repetative, they say "dont relax just yet, marines" like 3000000 times

They want it to be all story line based and thats not what games well today games shouldn't be about multi player should be the the big role in todays game. This game has alot of talent the graphics are amazing to me i love them. The design is brilliant i personally love this game.

@computerlodddh Dude, it's based on movies ( NOT AVP MOVIES!!!). Movies that are known for their good storyline. So what I want from AVP game is good story for SP and lots of fun and action on MP. This game is far from 9/10 bro. But thats just me. Just check out Alien and Aliens and you'll see what I mean :)

Along with some human weapons that are quite usless like the sniper rifle and flame thrower and sometimes the handgun.
With the one hit kill system that suffers also as sometimes your online opponent somes moves a little bit you press the x button and then it doesn't respond and thus your one hit kill is botched.

In general i'm sorry about the previous comment as a misunderstanding but i think in my perspective that the game could have used a lot more balance changes to make the online gameplay that bit better.

This review is pretty much spot on except for a few other problems such as lag in the game sometimes causes you to die sinatnly without you knowing and showing you the kill cam, also theres the melee system for the humans in the multi player as they don't exactly shove the alien and predator further away to be able to get enough bullets into them, theres also the aspect that humans don't have flares in the multi player and with dim torch lights makes the darkness your total enemy.

The stealth kills take way to long, they should just be quick kills and not 10 secs gory animations. Save the gore for the trophy kills. Also, how come marines get no stealth kills? The marines should have a combat knife and sneak up on predators and just jump on' em and stab them in the neck a couple times.

This game is fun at times but the controls do get frustrating, especially when you stealth attack and the controls are non-responsive...and the online, 1 hit kills suck when your a beginner and trying to get use to the controls

I can't wait for the new movie "Predators", coming out in June. It looks gritty, violent and badass. Hopefully, it's rated R, so we can say goodbye to that tame AVP PG-13 stuff. It's all good, but I like Predator to be protrayed as a sophisticated and vicious hunter.
