  • What times is a sinfonia (boxed Hurdy-Gurdy) known from in Estonia? When, in first times, about a sinfonia is it written in the Estonian historical documents?

  • What the girl is actually playing is known as a vielle, yes it is a form of the modern day fiddle and violin but has a more bass sound to it.

  • If you're looking at wealth and sophistication of art and technology, Europeans weren't so very well off, at that time, compared to their (Easterly) neighbours. But that is a very poor standard by which to judge a people, as a whole, for its standard is both superficial and subjective. . . .

  • As for Europe at large, they were latecomers to the world scene. It took the sudden elimination of one third of their population by the Plague for them to get their cultural & economic acts together. And Britain, in particular, faced overcrowding of cities and general social disorder (for in the dawn of the wool industry, sheep were given preference to men when it came to land use). This is what lead to the social & economic unrest that compelled people to seek new lives in the New World.

  • But America itself did not become the 'pentacle' of the world by order of that strict law of primogeniture and social segregation which belonged to that Britain from whence it came.

Further, she also did not rise to greatness because people sat around comparing their average racial intelligence to other parts of the world. No, indeed!

  • And as a final note, outside of her cash crop industries, America was not particularly important with regards to world affairs until AFTER the first World War struck Europe; nor, indeed, did she care to be so. . . .

  • Umm ,iloveallechanime, IDIOT, in the time period you are referring to, most of us whites were living mired in filth and merrily burning people to death because we thought Jews or old women with warts were responsible for crop failures and other misfortunes. As I read your other comments, I think stick-throwing people saying things like ooga-booga are more sophisticated and astute than you are. I hope to god you are really young; an adult saying shit like this is a dismal thing to contemplate.

  • It is a medieval version of violin, called fiddle. It`s based on a medieval pictures, theres none left.

  • what instrument is? isn't a violin, don't?

  • its a really old style violin... and i mean REALLY OLD
