  • I wonder why atheists watch these religious videos since they're already endowed with all knowing wisdom? if all complex things are a product of millions of random chemical reactions over millions of years we shud have at least one mobile phone or chip that's evolved at the same time as us ;-)

  • Might have made sense if I was living in c650 and knew nothing else. Today it simply makes none.

  • Religion is a toxic virus that poisons everything. It robs us of our integrity, intelligence and morality. There is no god or heaven or hell. We are all here because of evolution through natural selection, The purpose of life is to live with a sense of wonder and enjoyment, to strive not to harm others either mentally or physically. To enjoy our own sex life whether married, single, heterosexual or homosexual. No one has the right to judge or interfere.

  • @roac7777 Couldn't agree more - peace and happiness to you ;-)

  • thank you!! what an inspiration human being :)

  • wonderful. And in the islamic tradition we also find that a woman has to obey her husband when he wants sex with her, without a good reason if she refuses the angels will curse her. It also says that a guy can have sex with his female war booty (slaves). Kind of puts all this 1,5 our theological blahblahblah into perspective, or doesn't it. I can tell you for me it did...

  • Sh Hamza Yusuf misrepresents St Thomas Aquinas here by suggesting that he held the view that God is "the supreme being". Thomas Aquinas thought that the only literal things we can say of God are what God is not. Whatever we might say of him positively is a metaphor or an analogy; and this would include the idea of God as "being". For Aquinas to think of God as a being is tantamount to idolatry, for God is not one being amongs others, but there reason there is something rather than nothing.

  • sheikh Hamza Yusuf said in this video that, a Muslim doesn't necessarily believe in Allah, that a Muslim only means you follow the teachings of the religion.

I would like to ask if a non believer Muslim, someone who practices Islam but doesn't have faith, eventually go to Jannah? I say eventually because I heard elsewhere that every Muslims eventually goes to Jannah. Is that true?

  • @xyzzy7000 The Quran says that only those who believe in Allah steadfastly will go to heaven. Now, this is one of the more general ayats about what is needed to get to heaven, so its the idea that even Muslims who sinned &go to hell will eventually get to heaven provided that they DID believe in Allah. I believe that hypocrites necessarily do not believe in God. So even though they "go through the motions" they don't meet the basic requirement for them to eventually get to heaven. Allahu a3lam

  • @IslamChika does the ayah say Muslimeen or Mu'mineen?

  • @xyzzy7000 here's the direct translation:

41:30 In the case of those who say, "Our Lord is Allah", and, further, stand straight and steadfast, the angels descend on them (from time to time): "Fear ye not!" (they suggest), "Nor grieve! but receive the Glad Tidings of the Garden (of Bliss), the which ye were promised!

From what I understand from some lections the "stand straight and steadfast" part relates to the belief in Allah as The God in private and public.

  • @xyzzy7000 "On the Day of Judgment, neither wealth nor sons will avail. But the only ones who will prosper are those that bring to God a sound heart." (Qur'an 26:88-89). I think this verse may be a starting point for researching the answer to your important question. "Sound heart" implies to me sincerity of belief or faith. But I'd be interested to hear what others have to say. Allah knows best.

  • @xyzzy7000 isnt faith first thing u need to be able to practice..idk,i suppose he didnt meant it that way (if u watched his other videos whree he defines shahada,mu´minun etc..)..dunowhats true, but the best thing is to ask a ulema,or look up 4ulema opinion..because we (ppl from yutube and net includin me ^^) hav differences of opinion and knowledge isnt taken from wrong sources..can indanger ur iman (talking from experience)..:)) ask Allah to guide u 2right ppl

  • what he says makes sense mashalah

  • this guy has blown my mind and twice over. all in one weekend!

  • jazakallah, really opens the thought abt traditions in islam.

  • Great informative videos ! Please post more :)

    Thanks.

  • thanks for the lecture

  • Thank you for the lecture brother. May the mercy, peace, and blessing of Allah be upon you!

  • Thank you very much! Although now Hamza is openly spreading sufism, innovation and misguidance; I think many of us have benefited immensely from his knowledge, attitude and character. May ALLAAH guide Hamza, his dear ones and all his followers to the correct way of the salaf us salih. May Imam Hamza live a long life on the right path. And Bless and Bliss everyone that made the productions and the spreading of his sound knowledge possible.

  • @CkimCharles Thank you for your comments and for your dua. I respectfully ask for you to give us some quotes from Sh. Hamza's speeches, books, etc. that make it unambiguous he is "spreading sufism, innovation and misguidance". Jazak Allah Khair and masalam.

  • @CkimCharles Sheikh Hamza does not call himself a sufi. But he does accept a form of tawassuf that is compatable with the sunnah, therefore people started labeling him a Sufi and attributes all the innovation of modern sufi to him. I have watched some of his lecture where he openly says he is not a sufi.
