  • The British class system has always been a big hindrance even to this day. From a humble blacksmith boy to a lab assistant was a remarkable achievement in it's own right, but to revolutionise electricity on a gigantic scale against all the odds, it has to be one of the best stories in the name of science!

  • @wspol624 Indeed, his work on Electromagnetism was scintillating, I would have loved to be his assistant, to watch such a man in his work of brilliancy. Cheers

  • @wspol624 He was born 1774 if I'm correct? (not calculating it from your previous statement {he was only 9 yrs old at the turn of the 19th century}). He didn't show signs of true genius when he was 9, but later then, when he was a young man working for the bookbinder did he find out what his true specialty was. And thank you for your correction, I am commonly confused with the term "century" as it tends to mean the current century. Ex; 18th century = 1800's. When really it is 18th century = 1700

  • The real inventor of the electric guitar!

  • Michael Faraday was one of the greatest minds of the 18th century.

  • "...died from laughing gas" BEST ENDING EVER! HAHA

  • @aknutson11 +1

    why so.......

    happy?

  • more! I want more!

    Brilliant work!

If it werent for Farady I would be studying something like accounting! EWW!

  • Amazing! Thanks for posting!

Faraday was honored by having the Farad--a unit of electrical capacitance--named after him.
