@TheMainMan318 that power still needs to transmit itself to the wheels, then to the track in some way. It's ok welding two Hayabusa engines together as long as you can transfer this to the tarmac. The clutch plate needs to have the friction under immense heat and the tyres need to be able to get this power down. It's a pretty difficult act to pull off. You also need a driver who understands the car inside and out.

why does everyone say Red Victor 1 does it in 1 second? Its not that fast... There is hundreds of thousands of cars MUCH faster than it... there is cars that do the 0 to 60 in under a quarter of a second...
@frostbytey The Red Victor is one of the few cars that can do it and still be street legal (emissions legal, 90mm from the ground, windshields, side mirrors, handbrake, etc. etc.), that's why people talk about the Red victor. Those other cars aren't legal for use on the road.
@RCvehicles Well it's doubtful those were the only 6 launches done with that clutch. I'm sure they gave it a go a few times before they even got to that event and who knows how much else they beat on it before that day. I think another thing to keep in mind is that they did those 6 hard launches back to back to back and considering how hot that clutch probably got, I'm sure it wore down much faster than if those launches were over the course of a day or something. Still pretty crazy though...

That 'lorry' from 2 tons can do it faster then this every single time, and won't break every 5 minutes like this thing. But it is a bit more expensive ;)

@MisterGasMan it is actually very much depending on temperature and the air and so on. yea it wont break down so often but surtainly more than a normal car. and also a car that generates so much power just from turbochargers is quite likely not to run a 50000 km in its life

why does everyone say Red Victor 1 does it in 1 second? Its not that fast... There is hundreds of thousands of cars MUCH faster than it... there is cars that do the 0 to 60 in under a quarter of a second...

@frostbytey The Red Victor is one of the few cars that can do it and still be street legal (emissions legal, 90mm from the ground, windshields, side mirrors, handbrake, etc. etc.), that's why people talk about the Red victor. Those other cars aren't legal for use on the road.

@RCvehicles Well it's doubtful those were the only 6 launches done with that clutch. I'm sure they gave it a go a few times before they even got to that event and who knows how much else they beat on it before that day. I think another thing to keep in mind is that they did those 6 hard launches back to back to back and considering how hot that clutch probably got, I'm sure it wore down much faster than if those launches were over the course of a day or something. Still pretty crazy though...

@FUCK202 no they wouldnt get sued, the old atom was said to do 0-60 in 2.3 seconds but no one could get it to do it, check the vids on you tube
it does it in 3 seconds, still very fast but every not quite 2.3 seconds,
the veyron wouldnt do it in 2.5 either, its a 2 tonne car, yeah its got 4wd and 1000hp but it still weighs 2 tons+

seems like they exagerate slightly, its not illegal to claim things.. bike manufacturers are always lying about power figures and weight

@FUCK202 yeah but thats abit too much of an exageration tho and theyd get found out in no time! top speed is just put ur foot flat down in every gear, launching a car or a bike properly takes alot of skill.
to be fair if they had warm sticky race tyres and grippy race track tarmac, perfect conditions and a very good race driver then maybe under 3 seconds is possible, but for 99.9% of the people out there its gonna be 3 seconds plus.
