this was 1971. This video documents how GREAT this band is...how good the the musicians are. Ian paice on this speed, in 1971. The classical background of Mr. Lord, the Diatonicism of Blackmore.
My ears are fine, Mr. Shakedown... and still, BAD NOTES ALL OVER THE PLACE. Not saying Ian is a bad vocalist at all -- this is just not his best show. HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE!
...this is a top recording by a band at the top of their game.. I watched this as soon as it was released on video in the UK and was absolutely blown away...still am. You should maybe see your doctor about your ears? Hehehe!!
Although he didn't really need it, I wonder why Ian Paice never kept that second bassdrum. Because some of the riffs he's playing here are way ahead of their time!
And today 28 sep. 2011, this place - the KB-Hallen - burned down in a giant Fireball and the place for so many great music memories disappeared. Beatles played their only Denmark gig there ... Sad sad :-(
Wandering trough youtube I often stuck on DP-Clips and meet yours HD ones... And then, while listening to these rock masterpieces, I always ask myself what the hell "oiesoudou" could mean ...
I lived in Copenhagen at the time, and wanted to go to this, but couldn't find anyone to take me (I was 10). From the shot at 1:04, it looks like I wouldn't have been the only young kid there.
I finally got to see DP for the first time a year later in Brussels.
AWESOME!!!

One day Robert Elms will admit he's wrong about this band, probably his least favourite band after The Beatles.

Why the audience is full of children? Look at the little girl at the right side 1:08, her head is getting broken : 0

A lot of bad notes from Ian Gillan... and he only got worse after the reunion stuff. Made in Japan was his best live performance ever.

what a load of tripe! Gillan is awesome throughout the whole show!! ...as is the rest of the band.

@jasonpp1973, well, even with a single one, he was scary fast.......the double one must be easier on long performances....

I used to own VHS with this concert on and watch it like every day.
And I've always hated this song for Gillan singing out of tune.
