Jay Leno purchased his F1 for $1.8 MILLION dollars and has it insured for $4,000,000. Its safe to say, no one who comments here, will own one of these cars.
Clearly the vast majority of frantically net spamming teens will never get anywhere near these things. However thousands are sold every year. Porsche forexample sell 120 000 cars a year. SOMEONE actually buys these things and the interest in these cars come from exactly the buzz and media attention they get. My company back in the day forexample owned Lambos, Ferraris, Lotuses and jap racers.

The most expensive one of these is probably $200,000. But my main point is that the cars in this vid are so rarified that it doesnt matter if you can afford one or not, you cant just get one. To them hp and burnouts is the only performance that means anything and since you can do those in a tuned Mustang, a Ferrari has always been seen as a waste of money. But then. Harley is their idea of a motorcycle. Patriotism on wheels with saddlebags.
Fact is. If a Bugatti, Ferrari, Lambo was too expensive, nobody would buy one, they go bankrupt, problem solved.
Anyhow.. I have no experience selling these things. I just worked in a company back when there was still money in that business and we happened to have some success which made several people buy Lamborghinis, Lotuses and Ferraris. No Porsches because at the time, we saw Porsches as being soul-less and bland german sportscars for people that dont really care for sportscars.

The mclaren series is the king of all super cars.. No lame gadgets attached to it like that ugly veyron, this car is just raw power and held the fastest car record for 12 years if I recall. Saleen S7 is just a thinly disguised racecar with numberplates. Too extreme for all but the most die-hard enthusiast. Which is why nobody actually bought one. Their Raptor was their attempt at homologising their car for road use but died when the company went bankrupt and Saleen himself left the company some 6-7 years ago. Wops... I talked about their bankruptcy.

They went bankrupt, the Saleen guy left the company back in 2005 but not officially until 2007. The new Raptor project died. They sold off all their car making equipment, were bought and merged with another company and went back to fitting blowers to mustangs. Everybody that bought a Saleen car previously have lost their warranties when they went bankrupt. Again.. if Im not right in these things, I wouldnt have said anything at all.
F1 unbeatable..unless your F50 happens to be 1 of the 3 GT cars built. That would be a fun race to watch. Do an F50 GT search and you will understand :). Sweet cars regardless.
Veyron anyone? No, I guess not. The Mclaren is not the fastest nor does it hold the record anymore. Look up Veryon on Top Gear, and you will see what I mean. The F-50 is the ultimate super car because it will win a race. When will you ever need to go 250mph? Come on, let's be real, the only car with outstanding torque, hp, and handling is the Ferrari f-50. Have you not seen what it can do, at 60-100, 100-150, 150- 200mph, try and keep up with it?
@Blueball0120 the SSC is just a quick american attempt to try to be the best, when its far from the veyron... they claim it does 257 mph... but i doubt anyone has tested it yet, AND not to mention its nowhere near the quality and engineering marvel that a veyron is. the SSC is just a really lightweight car, with a powerful engine, the veyron has that and so much more, not to mention rolls royce comfort at its top speed... its just so much more
Has anyone not heard of the veyron. Top Gear raced both the Veyron and the Mclaren, and the Mclaren got it's tail pipe kicked. The best car if you wanted to know is the F-50, for actual racing, not for who wants to race for a long strip of road for 5 miles and see who wins. Supercars are cars that can win all the time in a race, not a 5 mile drag race. In that case, put a Prius and a Mclaren against eachother and see who travel the longest. Come on.

@crassaylegs Not true, Ferrari Enzos sell for 1.3mil today, that's twice its retail price. And since ferrari isn't making them no more, they're all surely used... Same with the F50 and F40... Mclaren stopped production ages ago and its more than tripled in value... Bugatti Veryon sells for half the retail price... That doesn't speak too well about the desirability of the car...
@psych0hans Just because production stoped, doesn't mean that a car is used... also, usually the prices of vehicles tend to drop a few years after production, then it will gain more value the longer it is sold for, thats why older cars are worth more than they are now, but for the majority of them, there price declined befor it increased.
@lotechi i dont know that the mclaren could handle boost at any rate it wouldnt even need them you can do race mods and be kissing 990bhp withouot boost and boost changes the way the car puts power to the ground that is the main reason this caar is soo perfect because it was made to put everything of what it has to the ground most supercars these days need traction control for that

Veyron anyone? No, I guess not. The Mclaren is not the fastest nor does it hold the record anymore. Look up Veryon on Top Gear, and you will see what I mean. The F-50 is the ultimate super car because it will win a race. When will you ever need to go 250mph? Come on, let's be real, the only car with outstanding torque, hp, and handling is the Ferrari f-50. Have you not seen what it can do, at 60-100, 100-150, 150- 200mph, try and keep up with it?

@Blueball0120 the SSC is just a quick american attempt to try to be the best, when its far from the veyron... they claim it does 257 mph... but i doubt anyone has tested it yet, AND not to mention its nowhere near the quality and engineering marvel that a veyron is. the SSC is just a really lightweight car, with a powerful engine, the veyron has that and so much more, not to mention rolls royce comfort at its top speed... its just so much more

Has anyone not heard of the veyron. Top Gear raced both the Veyron and the Mclaren, and the Mclaren got it's tail pipe kicked. The best car if you wanted to know is the F-50, for actual racing, not for who wants to race for a long strip of road for 5 miles and see who wins. Supercars are cars that can win all the time in a race, not a 5 mile drag race. In that case, put a Prius and a Mclaren against eachother and see who travel the longest. Come on.

Hahaha.... Its scrapped, canned, it died a horrible death alongside all kinds of other american supercar attempts that were all promising 1000 hp or even 1800. The Saleen Raptor is gone. Will never happen. Saleen himself was kicked out of the company, they went bust and reemerged under different owners. They are back to simply fitting blowers to mustangs and boasting themselves to the skies in the most american fashion.

well the veyron is "stock" too with quad turbos i think the word you are looking for to describe the mclaren is "naturally aspirated" and the reason they compare them is price the mclaren cost more then a million more then the bugatti and the vayreon is faster plan and simple...but i like the f1 better the veyron is ugly as hell

@crassaylegs Not true, Ferrari Enzos sell for 1.3mil today, that's twice its retail price. And since ferrari isn't making them no more, they're all surely used... Same with the F50 and F40... Mclaren stopped production ages ago and its more than tripled in value... Bugatti Veryon sells for half the retail price... That doesn't speak too well about the desirability of the car...

@psych0hans Just because production stoped, doesn't mean that a car is used... also, usually the prices of vehicles tend to drop a few years after production, then it will gain more value the longer it is sold for, thats why older cars are worth more than they are now, but for the majority of them, there price declined befor it increased.

@lotechi i dont know that the mclaren could handle boost at any rate it wouldnt even need them you can do race mods and be kissing 990bhp withouot boost and boost changes the way the car puts power to the ground that is the main reason this caar is soo perfect because it was made to put everything of what it has to the ground most supercars these days need traction control for that
