i think it's interesting that the same people who say he's not a neurotic lunatic also say he's not a terrible alcoholic. I mean, if he's not on drugs/drunk here then he would have to be even more psychotic-ish to be acting like that. or a really good actor. On the other hand, if he's just drunk...well..."normal" people can seem crazy when intoxicated.

personally, I think he's a little neurotic, but not in a off the deep end way. And in all honesty...he does use lots of substances...

i love conor oberst with every ounce of my heart... and perhaps he is a drunk/coke addict... i love him nonetheless and believe he is the greatest musician of his generation... no one can top him no matter how hard they try... i respect him and am inspired by him even though he drinks a lot... he's a wonderful musician

i saw bright eyes last night and he was drinking. he sounded drunk. then again his personality is just a little bit like that... and his voice is shaky and whatnot.

Yeah, the only reason half of you people are saying hes fucked up in this vid is because it is him, and thats what he is known for. Even tho he does look intoxicated some...but if he was "drunk as hell"...he couldnt do as good as he did.

Conor is bipolar o.o He's said so himself on (I believe) numerous occasions. But, yeah. The interview was an obvious farse. Just him fucking with people who constantly refer to him as some unhinged neurotic lunatic.

Conor does not have neurosis. So many rumors float around about him, but a majority of them are not true. He does drink, but not as heavily as he used to ever since he almost died of alcohol poisoning, and his friend that was with him at the time died. The interview on the end of Fevers and Mirrors is fake, many people don't know that. His brother did not drown in a bathtub. The interview was scripted and the 'radio jockey' doing the interview is actually Todd Fink of the band The Faint.
