True raw food good for you but what about stomach acids that are very intense and breakdown breads for us? I wouldn't put out it 'turns to paste' in our digestive system.
@totallyrawsometvshow Hi, if the flour is made just from dried coconuts, than there is no gluten in it. It's the gluten that clogs up the colon, and gluten comes from wheat. (also barley). I like to substitute flax meal for flour in any baking recipe.
@blythemetz Is your colon totally clean? Gastrointestinal tracts aside, why does your voice sound like you were drinking a couple of bottles of organic wine prior to making this video?
What if you wanted to make cookies or bread that RISES...can you put baking soda or yeast in your mixture and will it rise over time as it dehydrates?
@UnnamedAssaliant Great question, I just made a bread from onion, sunflower seeds, chia seeds, olive oil and salt. In the food processor, mix 2 large onions, 1 cup soaked sunflower seeds, 1/4 cup chia seeds, 2 table spoons olive oil, and a pinch sea salt. Then spread on a dehydrator tray with the teflex sheet, dehydrate for 4-6 hours on one side, flip and 4-6 hours on the other side. It may sound complicated, but it really only takes 5 min. It is DELICIOUS! And nutritious!
This sure answers the bread issue for me. When you read about bread in the Bible, I'm sure they don't mean stuff like squishy white Wonderbread. Makes ya think how low our food industry has sunk over the years, doesn't it.
@menderfire9 I completely agree. The wheat of today is not Jesus's wheat. The food industry in America is corrupt, it's the truth, but the good news is, we can change that by what we purchase. As more of us purchase organic real foods, we will eventually tip the scales and the genetically modified wheat will be history, it's just a matter of teaching people. Thanks for getting it!! Blessings to you!
@blythemetz You state that a person over age 50 could have 20 pounds of plaque coating our colon. Would that be the case if we have been eating vegetables and whole grains and very little t of fish, foul or meat for most of our life? I am 70 yrs old and have not touched pasta or lifeless commercial breads more than a few times a year! Dad taught us to be organic since the 1940''s. Yes I am blessed, but could my colon still have plaque in it? How would I know? Thanks. Good show!
@Helenelalala Thanks, I have listened to him & others. Quite convincing, However, other sources of information are equally convincing. I believe that raw is good for many people, however many long-lived healthy cultures do lightly cook many of their vegetables & have some amount of flesh & dairy in their diet. I think it has a lot to do with body type. Personally, I am looking for nutritional concepts to tailor our eating habits for the individual, not a one-size-fits-all philosophy. Just sayin'
Could you enlighten me, I'm confused about the "lively" enzymes' effect on our bodies. I understand that the enzumes/proteins found in raw foods becomes denatured when subjected to high temperatures. I know that denatured proteins means that the bonds in the proteins/enzymes are broken. But the part that I don't understand is, why is it healthier to eat enzymes that are "alive" than those that are denatured, if those that are "alive" will be denatured in our stomach anyway?
@rubyspirit2 The key word is up to. It all depend on how much waste you have build up. Everyone will not be the same when I did a colon clease (colonic) it was 11lbs and my friend was 13lbs and if you get it done periodic through the year it will of course decrease. Some people has lost more because they have never had a their colon cleansed. So it is not a lie.
@nEWwORLDhOARDER yes, also the coconut oil is a saturated fat and is much more resistant to oxidation, and does not lead to free radicals an cell damage. Infact, coconat oil and butter is anticancer, protects the cell and especially is good for skeen cancer, if applied topically on skin and eaten as well. See dr jerry brunetti 's conference or dvd He did have cancer, and by different methods, (chimio or operation exluded) is now healed and helps others who had cancer. cheers !
@estoniaforever If you want to keep it an enzyme rich cookie, you'll have to keep your oven on 105 or less, many ovens don't have a setting this low, but you can put it on the lowest setting and open the oven door. Let the heat determine the length of time to "cook." Let me know how it goes. Enjoy.
very interesting thanks....BTW, it would be nice if you would wear a tank-top under your shirt so it was modest then I could show your video's it my girls as I want them to understand raw cooking.........thanks
You mentioned mucoid plaque. From what I have read this is a myth. Do you have any scientific studies or links for reading material. I would appreciate any help in finding more information on this.
Mucus is a naturally occurring product of the digestive system and plays an important role in protecting it from damage and infection.[4][5] This mucus layer is less than a millimetre thick, but may become thinner or be removed entirely in diseases such as ulcerative colitis, which exposes the surface of the intestine to damage.[6][7] However, the concept that this mucus layer might form a 'mucoid plaque' has been dismissed by physicians as having no anatomical or physiological basis.[8][9][10
Raw, sprouted (soaked) nuts are very easy to digest. They are high in enzymes, healthy fat that feed your brain and heart, and minerals. Non sprouted or roasted nuts are dead or doment and have no active enzymes and little nutrients. If they are roasted and covered with salt and sugar then don't eat them. If they are raw, they need to be soaked overnight before eating. If you eat nuts properly, you will not get "nut gut" Don't eat nuts if you're allergic or have colon polups.
What she says about mucoid plaque in the colon is crap. When people do those colon cleanses to remove "plaque" they take betonite clay, which comes out of the colon as a nasty gelatinous goop, which is what is supposedly the "plaque". Never waste money on a colon cleanse.
Read Doctor Jenson's book entitled Doctor Jenson's Guide to Better Bowl Care. Look at pictures on line. Believe whatever you want and not cleanse your system, it's only your health and beauty that will pay the price. You might have excellent digestion, never creating buildup from wheat glutens, sadly that's not the case for many people. Please keep your very limited understanding to yourself. You really don't know very much about this topic, so you shouldn't be talking about it.
Have you ever had a colonoscopy? Didn't think so. You can be raw and be healthy, but don't tell me that I don't know what I'm talking about, I am a doctor.
I didn't mean to offend you. There is always more to learn and know about the human body, and certainly many doctors are missing a lot of valid information. I don't wish to convince anyone, it's fine that we disagree. Have a lovely week.
Have you heard of Celiac disease? It's not a disease, it just means that a person doesn't have the enzymes to digest glutens found in wheat and barley. Most doctors don't know of it so it has gone largely undiagnosed or misdiagnosed causing a myriad of discomforts in about 1 in 7 people in America. The colon not properly and completely processing glutens leaves glutens to harded, coating the lining of the colon so the colon can''t absorb nutrients from food, and real illness is a result.
Celiac Disease is a heritable autoimmune disorder in which the body's enzyme tissue transglutaminase alters gluten, causing an immune response--principally the sloughing-off of the tips of villi in the bowel. It's not that the person doesn't have the enzymes; rather that the enzyme which re-folds the protein on a molecular level triggers an acute immune response. Then, the undigested food is expelled. Cont'd.
Contrary to the suggestions of pseudoscientists, the body, an extremely efficient machine, does not retain matter in the bowel unless there is an obstruction or diverticula. If it did, fermentation would result, and a person would die rapidly. Matter can become lodged in a diverticulum, but this causes severe pain, and would be noticeable. Celiac Disease rubs the colon raw, it doesn't fill it up, if you know what I mean. Cont'd.
That' why, though I agree with many principles of raw foodism as a part of a truly healthy lifestyle (in contrast to what the FDA purports to be true), I must attest to Celiac Disease being a simple enzymatic deficiency. In this case, it is an actual genetic mutation much like the one which causes certain individuals to suffer from Phenylketonuria, an allergy to the amino acid Phenylalanine. I would, however, agree with the implication that much disease is reversible and completely diet-based.
I would like to know if a person could dehydrate in their reg cooking oven if u put it on low setting or would that run your electric bill up too high and/or wear out your oven, etc? Also, I visited a whole foods store and everything in there was so expensive compared to regular grocery stores..how much money do u all spend on eating raw on average for a week? Im not sure if I could afford all those ingredients u all have there..plus I'd like to taste that stuff before putting out much money.
you can use a regular blender for all of these raw recipes, and you can eat a lot of raw foods without buying a dehydrator. I know some people who eat all raw that don't have a dehydrator. It's not necessary to be 100% raw, unless you are healing from something. Just incorporate as much living food in your diet as possible. Salads go a long way. Make them hardy with flax or hemp seeds and avocado. You don't need fancy appliances to eat right! Enjoy.
you are the only one so far i have watched that uses common sense about not having to be 100% raw, that u can just incorporate as much raw healthy living food into ur diet as possible...some on here imply everyone that eats cooked food get no nutrition at all..i said if that were true we would all be dead as most eat cooked food & still are healthy..I think if people want to eat raw 100% that's ok but a good balance of both does not hurt nor is it proven raw eaters live longer than "SAD" eaters.
ezekeal bread is sprouted, so that means that the hull of the wheat, which is the part that has the gluten, isn't present. Gluten is a good thing to stay away from as it acts like glue in your system, slowing your digestion and causing waste to back up. I buy the ezekeal tortitalls.
if you need blender and food processor you can go for Vitamix, they say it's the best one with 5 years guaranty however it costs more than 400$ . I have a KitchenAid blender for 70$ and i'm quiet satisfied the design is good and it crushes everything easily and it's not like other cheap one that you would have hard time pushing the food down to make the blades catch them.
