  • Why is everybody saying the uploader is gross/sick/emotionally disturbed? I don't get it....did I miss something in the vid? All I saw was him explaining that kids in the middle east like to dance and then showing a vid of some cute little kids dancing....what is everybody talking about?

  • @LindyHoppingMidwife I think the conversation must have digressed from the original video footage. I think the person who made the video is saying that Middle Eastern dance is for anyone men, women, children ... any age etc... which is what i believe too and i teach all ages and would happily teach men. I think that was the point of the video.

Where they have digressed may have been in the comments about just because a person is Middle Eastern does not mean they can dance.

  • What is the song where the first children in the video dance on?

  • thanks for this documentary video! very interesting to look at men dancing belly dance! the children are wonderfull. this video confirm that Dance is a Language.

  • can someone send me a link for the song in the beginning please, i cant find it and i love it so much!!

  • Its by Hakim, he is a famous Arab singer. Look up his name on Amazon, I'm sure you'll find it.

  • Hi Falah40, well i have that song if u want i can eamil it to you, the thing is that i dont know the link, that is why i can not tell you from where i found it, and if i can help with something is the name .. el salamo aleiko, that is how i was looking for that song and i fond it, sorry 4 my english hope could help!! by

  • What a great idea to tape these kids! And they are so cute too. Amazing how tiny children are masters of movements that we adults work for years to perfect.

  • Thank you for posting this very nice video!!! The first 3 kids are very talented! They could be stars in a few years! :-)

  • nile group forever!

  • the man dancing in the end in the white shirt with some writing on the front is pretty good actually!!!

  • bravo,,its refreshing to see the children enjoying the dance, they are all magnificent and deserve a great round of applause,,ten stars **********

  • They are fantastic!!!!

  • You are a sick racist and emotionally disturbed individual to say such a thing about a child.

  • i hope this is a joke. really! u are talking about a child. ending hate doesnt happen with more hate dear!

  • This person is emotionally disturbed. Go to their page and you'll see the comment that were left.

  • Sorry to burst the bubble but being black does not mean that a person has any dance talent or rythm. And believe me, there are plenty Egyptian who can't dance a lick regardless of their color or geographic location.

  • Actually modern Egyptians are mixed. Mostly Arab with some Black and Greek. Unless of course they are from lower Egypt. Like around Aswan. Those are definately Black people.

  • I don't know why people keep saying that!

Egyptians are Egyptians....not mixed with anyone !!

  • People keeping saying that because it's true. Egypt has been invaded by everyone: Arabs, Nubians, Greeks, etc. It's not possible to keep any bloodline pure under those circumstances.

  • @MissMidoria yes I understand you!

but I see Egyptians have their Special-looking !!

anyway they still great people :)

  • @morena4cheer thats jusx so ravist of yhuee to sayy everyybodyy could dance if theyy reallyy wanted too

  • all egyptians by nature they can dance mashallah, touch wood hhhhhhhhh. watch any egyptian film, u c them all dance ;)

  • what the!!

did i just see a boy belly dancing!!!!!

omg!! whats wrong with his mum! shes sitting there and emjoying the show!

  • That's because its a part of the culture. This is the real culture, not what you see in nightcluds and in movies. Its a dance of joy and celebration. Its only a sexy thing when done for male audiences in nightclubs that cater to tourists.

  • They do that a lot at weddings. They hire professionals then everyone dances lol.

  • Exactly. Oddly enough the best dancers you see are the older people and the kids. I love watchibg them the most because they just express so much joy!

  • These kids are definitely the life of the party! (lol about the comment on the lights looking like a "kiddie rave.") What's great is that they're just having fun, so unselfconscious. I think I need to save and go to Cairo to party (not kidding...).

  • al salam 3alaikoom, i love this song alot..ive went to that boat and there were to gurls dancing they were so cute

  • Nice memories from the Nile Group festival...The girl to the right is Rana,Zeinas and Mohameds daughter, the girl in the middle is Freizes daughter, the girl to the left is Dandashes daughter arent they lovely? Thank you for this clip!

  • They were all adorable. I din't know Dandash was old enough to have a daughter that big. She was very pregnant then and still dancing up a storm!

  • ahhhhhhh bless der likkle hearts n if yo is muslim add mi on yo fwendz lol

  • how cute man Egyptians are born Dancing hahahahha they rock wallah

  • Very cute, but all those lights! It's like a kiddie rave!

  • Hey ya gatta start them early. :-D

  • ahlan wa sahlaaan! this kinds are arouba very smart to dance i think they carry the music in their blood :)

  • You should have seen the ones on the nights I forgot to bring my camera, AMAZING!

  • Just gorgeous...what talented little people! I only hope my daughter grows up with the same love for dancing as these children. Dance is such a wonderful way for spirits to be joyful!

  • Celebrate with them and they will.

  • masallah!!

  • My kids were born and raised in US and they dance (may be not as good as these kids) but they impress me knowing that they have visited egypt onley two or three times (but they watch the sat. TV a lot) and they learned from their mom too .. nice clip thanks.

  • this is so sweet!so gunuine and natural

  • "anaa asli min jamaica lakin ana saken fi amreeka delwa'ty" goch yah ! hhhhh :P , welcome to arab world any time ^_^

very enjoyable video thank u very much!

  • Can you blame me for being in love? There is a lot of positive things to be found there, even if the the media only focuses on the negative. Thank you for your encouragement.

    With much love

    TArik

  • And what is the title of the song in the beginning ?

  • That's Issalamaleykum by Hakim

  • what is the title of the song those 3 girls were dancing to? it's nice :)

  • wow u grulz r good! keep it up:D

  • Why can't all Arab kids be more like these kids? ;)

  • They all are.

  • I guess I know what you are referring to! Let me say briefly that for many Arab children it is not an affordable luxury. it is very difficult for a Arab child who is driven out of his home land and suffer daily from un-justly new world order to become that happy or even optimistic to dance.

  • Well yes, I guess we can say the same in any part of the world. Unfortunately not all kids grow up in emotionally or physically safe environments. However, i've seen even the poorest kids in Egypt spontaniously start dancing, even if they just hear a song on a radio in a small grocery booth. They still have a light inside

  • thats very interesting...I had no idea that the kids there would learn from their elders

  • There is a whole lot about the dance and the culture it comes from that we do not know. We only see the commercial version of the dance and therefore, we don't know that its really primarily a social folk dance everyone does for fun. People there learn it just like Lationos learn how to Salsa, or do the Samba. The real dance is of the everyday ordinary people, of both sexes and all ages.

  • btw...it's "friendship" and "children"

  • That's what happens when you try to edit film at 3:00 in the morning!;-)

  • Love this video. Thanks for posting. I'm from Shanghai,China. And I've been learning belly dance for a year. The kids are very talented. I wish I were born there, haha! Then it'll be easier to learn. They could dance everywhere, but here only very limited places.

  • Another way to see the raks sharki like a part of a culture...not only a show ;-)

  • hahaha cute kids

  • these videos are really informative thanks very much for posting!

  • oh i wish i would hav been like that as a child !! they v the talent in their blood. luv egyptian ppl <3

  • Egyptian kids dancing! NOT TO BE MISSED!

  • so sweet. I absolutely love to go to restaurants and watch the proper arabs dance raksa.

  • The dancing is absolutely infectious! This is what Raks Beledi is all about....just having fun :)

  • That's the point I want everyone to realize. There's so much more to the reality of this dance than meets the eye.

  • I couldn't agree more. I've only been dancing for five years, but I've learned so much about the true beauty of this dance and respecting the cultures of it's origin. Clips like this show that this is a dance for everybody.
