Just discovered your Godfather tribute whilst researching Cavalleria Rusticana, I am very impressed with the whole thing.
This film is very special to my wife and I as I took her on our first date to see it! (39 years ago) and we were both spellbound by it, especially the incredibly poignant love and lost time with Michael and Apollonia.
Had the Love Theme rejected at our wedding as the vicar thought it an "inappropriate" film.

When I made the video first I was thinking I use motion picture pieces from the Godfather movies. However I found out fast that still pictures are more dramatic. What a fabulous mix of beautiful music and scenary in a film with a complex ,violent yet romantic story.
Had it been made in Italy it would not have been better.

I choose this because i was searching this Cavalerias Intermezzo. which is probably them ost beautiful music i´ve heard so far, so romantic, full of love and in the same time so sad, so tragic...but thats life....on the other hand iagree you all this is the best movie trilogy of all, can not argue about that! I do think that Marlon Brando's perfomance is a master...it is not easy to find so many great stars such as Brando, Pacino, de Niro working togheter.
But the III part reflects much better the human condition...it is the fall of a lider
However the III is the best...the final scene of Al Pacino when he is close to die, alone in a Sicilian farm, after his daugther was shot, it is much more than brillian.
I agree with almost everything you said. If part III was made as an independent movie without part I and II it would have been a big hit and a great movie. However in my opinion the acting and story line was better in I and II and as a result III lives in the shadow of those two movies.
I think Part III is very underrated, I think it moved with the times and produced a fitting finale to the Trilogy. Critics slate it, but for me there isn't a better scene in all three films than the end scene of Part III, all those murders and his daughter being shot instead of Pacino, his acting i that scene is just immense.

Godfather II is my favourite film (with The Shawshank Redemption) of all time, closely followed by Godfather I and although a lot of people didn't think Godfather III matched its predecessors I still love it. It may not be up to the GOLD STANDARD of a great movie (Godfather II the best movie of all time) but it is a fine movie with beautiful music. I also agree on Shawshank, but Tim Robbins should shot his mouth because he is an idiot when it comes to politics. He is an O.K. actor, but in Shawshank he played superbly. I would not see any movie with him in it, yet I own and love Shawshank.

I choose this because i was searching this Cavalerias Intermezzo. which is probably them ost beautiful music i´ve heard so far, so romantic, full of love and in the same time so sad, so tragic...but thats life....on the other hand iagree you all this is the best movie trilogy of all, can not argue about that! Love it!

I do think that Marlon Brando's perfomance is a master...it is not easy to find so many great stars such as Brando, Pacino, de Niro working togheter.
But the III part reflects much better the human condition...it is the fall of a lider
However the III is the best...the final scene of Al Pacino when he is close to die, alone in a Sicilian farm, after his daugther was shot, it is much more than brillian.

I agree with almost everything you said. If part III was made as an independent movie without part I and II it would have been a big hit and a great movie. However in my opinion the acting and story line was better in I and II and as a result III lives in the shadow of those two movies.

I think Part III is very underrated, I think it moved with the times and produced a fitting finale to the Trilogy. Critics slate it, but for me there isn't a better scene in all three films than the end scene of Part III, all those murders and his daughter being shot instead of Pacino, his acting i that scene is just immense.

Realmente coincido contigo que es una de las grandes peliculas . Es la mia de cabecera. Las he visto cientos de veces y lo seguire haciendo. Dejando de lado la parte violenta creo que da una enseñanza de vida, algo que los hijos de italianos sentimos y pensamos en nuestros antepasados que llegaron a America. El concepto de familia y la piramide de mando esta clara siendo lo mas importante la union, el respeto, y ante todo la fidelidad que debe existir para que algo lo que sea funcione

Godfather II is my favourite film (with The Shawshank Redemption) of all time, closely followed by Godfather I and although a lot of people didn't think Godfather III matched its predecessors I still love it. Put together with my favourite piece of music of all time - sublime - Thanks again.

Thank you for the compliment! I agree with you on Godfather III... It is a good movie and completes the SAGA. It may not be up to the GOLD STANDARD of a great movie (Godfather II the best movie of all time) but it is a fine movie with beautiful music. I also agree on Shawshank, but Tim Robbins should shot his mouth because he is an idiot when it comes to politics. He is an O.K. actor, but in Shawshank he played superbly. I would not see any movie with him in it, yet I own and love Shawshank.

Thanks! The Godfather is the best MOVIE ever made. If you look at the story line, acting, cinematogrophy and music it could never be surpassed. Especially part I and II, but III had some really good moments and THE MUSIC!
