One of my favorite - remember seeing him and band doing it on "Ed Sullivan" met him once at The House of Blues" Hollywood - nice guy - Thanks Lynchburg.....I had lost my copy of it in the 60's RMANL
What in the world ever happened to TOMMY SANDS? He was married for a time to Nancy Sinatra, and I know he recorded for a while for Capitol Records and starred in BABES IN TOYLAND with Annette Funicello, but why didn't his career take off further after that?
There was some kind of private scandal, rumored, involvin mafia. Never anythin definite. Jordan Maxwell said that Mafia has controlled Hollywood, even have their own licence plates so cops never give tickets to them. Martha Raye's Chauffeur told me that actors/actresses often have mafia connections & investments.
Of course, it is "common knowledge" that Frank Sinatra was involved in mafia. He was also knight of malta. There is lot of overlap between knights of malta and mafia. Both organizations are part of the pope's armies.
@JohnnyGNV Sinatra ruined him...due to his alleged "cheating"...in Las Vegas. Then, Nancy avenged him with "These Boots ere made for walking" They were married from 1960 -65. BUT WHERE IS HE NOW????
Tommy cut some darn good stuff at Capitol in Hollywood. That amazing guitar here. This the best of the lot from TS I reckon...should have been a huge hit.
Yep, greenwichlirr. This is a FANTASTIC disc. And a terrific two-sider as well: the flipside, Bigger than Texas, is just about as good. I found a FINNISH 45rpm edition of this in 1985 and still have it as of this writing...
Holy s&*t! It sounds almost like the Shack Shakers or the Cramps.
Whew. It's so groovy in the groove.
Go to my site and listen to "Love Soup" It's like, who gives a good ka-hoot what the words are? Cuz, It's so groovy in the groove. MMmmmm I think I'll just stay here.
Great opening few bars, leading to a powerful rocking record. Just the sort of record Gene Vincent would have liked to have sung...

Always loved this record.
Does anybody in Tommy Sands land have any of the following.
A swinging romance/Crossroads/On and on/Rainbow/Remember me to jennie/Won't you be my girl.
Capitol never seem to release these.

I wasn't a big fan, but this rocker is exceptional. Great guitar work! I bought it the first time I heard it in '58.

My favorite Tommy Sands song - god he was good. Soulful as hell, plus it's got that great "twilight rockabilly" feel. Thanks for sharing.

a FANTASTIC disc.....If Tommy Sands had gone this route instead of the "Steady Date" route, then he would have been one great rock-n-roller.
This record is kinda scarce nowadays. Do yourself a favor and hunt it down!
