  • looks like keepers used to suck in those times...some were sooooo easy to save :/ they dint even attempt to save

  • I was Sir Bobby's last league match..Against chelsea @ the bridge.End of season mid table game we lost 1-0..but everyone was there to see off England's greatest player.

  • he should have shaved his head

  • SHIT music, GREAT player.

  • Perfect music you choose lad, especially at the moments with munich crash. What a mug.

  • I wish Duncan Edwards didn't die in the munich crash. He would have been the greatest player of all time according to those who saw him including Charlton. And Sir Matt Busby said Duncan Edwards was the best player he had at Man Utd..and he had players such as Charlton,Law and George Best!

  • back when footballs were footballs and pitches were pitches.

  • What a cracker at 1:41...

  • To think he almost gave up football after the crash! We would never have seen the incredible skills that he had to offer!!

  • Cut out all the bull. This is the greatest. Thanks Bobby.

  • Why can't England play like that now just get the ball in the right place and don't fuck around with it.

  • Bobby Charlton..best United player of all time..!

  • those are proper goals

  • Just think. They were using old leather balls which were had as fuck back than, coupled with tough leather boots. And Sir Bobby still managed to hit some absolute pile drivers with great accuracy. Imagine what he could do with modern day stuff.

  • Who ever 'disliked' this, really needs to take a look at his/her life and sort it out.

  • @johnIZZI09 indeed, as in sooo many vids on here- about things waaay more important + inspiring than football too.

  • George Best to Charlton, wow those were the days

  • Unfortunately, there are no more players like him today. Football between 50s to 70s is the best period of the sport's history. We had Pelé and many others that played with heart and passion.

Ronaldinho e outros tantos mercenários de hoje deveriam ter vergonha ao olhar a história desses homens que somente queriam jogar e realizar os sonhos de cada torcedor. Futebol por amor, assim como o rock'n roll, está morto.

  • I just finished reading his most recent autobiography. An absolute legend of a player. As a Scot, I used to worry every time he was in an England team to play against us!! By all accounts one of the nicest men you could hope to meet. Best, Law, Charlton: what a trio!

  • Bobby Charlton...was the best..United top scorer...England top scores..World cup winner..........shot like a bullet...what more could ask for...!

  • I just want to know who is the number 10 ?

  • @bigswitch31 George Best

  • @bigswitch31 george best in my opinion much better then sir bobby

  • @puman199 No because Charlton was a verry complet middle !

    Charlton = Platini= Zidane

  • Were the his opponent too lousy or is Bobby Charlton just brilliant? lol. Awessome man.

  • why in a recent poll in inside united did he com 4th at least 2nd he uniteds first proper player george best wasn't better than him. cantona (i think is a bit over rated) was certainly not better than him giggs you can argue his case

  • this man is a living example of what hard work and dedication can do for you in life. absolutely admire him. he makes me proud to be english.

  • Total Legand..One of the Worlds all time Great Players. Mr Manchester United....Sir Bobby Charlton.....!

  • They need to make him and best on FIFA as like part of a legends team or something

  • Left foot Right foot name any player in the world that can score both sides with that amount of venom and ease in the world today

  • heavier balls-crap pitches-crap boots-imagine how hard and from what distances he would score goals now? amazing player-lampard as goalscoring midfielder comapred to sir bobby? do me a favour!!

  • "Bobby wasn't without his limitations, and people forget this when they come up with their ridiculous all time XI's etc" - Sean Reilly Ireland

"Unquestionably the best player of all time" - Sir Alex Ferguson

What does Alex know about football or the Man U legends

  • the strike on 1:10 is as good as any volley u will see in the day and age

  • thumbs up if you watched this after watching the film united

  • and who is the player with number 10??

  • @sarajevoxxyy George Best!

  • @sarajevoxxyy george best has it coz hes better and bobby charlton the striker and gets the number nine

  • wow George Best and Bobby Charlton on the same team, didn't even know. now i do and thats brilliant.

  • @johnv785 Lets not forget Denis Law :D those three were the driving force for our european success after the munich tragedy

  • clap clap clap...BOBBY CHARLTON,maestro de maestros, genio del futbol mundial, gracias por tu vida.

  • I now want to bald like bobby so then i can be good

  • THE KING

Par son jeu Il donne l impression d avoir cent ans d experiences

  • Great collection of clips, this is one of the finest players to grace the game over the last fifty years - one of the all time greats, wonderful upload.......5beer!!

  • A lovely, lovely player. Bobby wasn't without his limitations, and people forget this when they come up with their ridiculous all time XI's etc... but boy, just like Stan Matthews, he was a one off. A true Legend in a world of leg ends.

  • @seanreillyireland: Agree w/you 100% on the A-T XIs, lists, etc., mate. Fr. several highlights in the vid: I love it when people spout off shite about how "Sir Bobby" supposedly couldn't hit the target fr. distance.

  • @TheLegendfamily Thanks so much Legendfamily. A thumbs up from you always means a lot because anyone who reads your contributions can see heres a man who knows his subject as close to inside out as you can get.

  • @seanreillyireland I guess that would make me an inside-out forward then? ;-D Seriously, thank you so much for the kind words & they're always appreciated, mate.

  • @TheLegendfamily Actually that got me thinking... Bobby achieved world class in two positions, left wing in his early / mid 20's, and later, deep lying cenre-forward / attacking midfielder.

  • @seanreillyireland I'll go ahead & answer this via Pm, mate.

  • One of the all time greats. Not only his brilliance on the field, but also because he was a great ambassador.

  • For the list, add George, the greatest and most complete player I've ever seen play the game.

From what the old boys tell me, you'd probably want Edwards in there too with Taylor, but I'm too young to confirm it.

  • Best players to E V E R play for manchester united:

    Sir Bobbly Charlton

    Eric Cantona

    Ryan Giggs

    Cristiano Ronaldo

  • @manutdfanatic777 and Tommy Taylor

  • @alquiora Great call on including Taylor! George Best, Denis Law & Stan Pearson are three more names that I'd put up as contenders for that list as well.

  • @manutdfanatic777 he was a great player but not in the same class as George Best ,when players such as Maradonna messi Ronaldo are talked about the only player from Britain who is compared to them is Best, he was lead goal scorer for united for 6 years 3 of which he played on the wing.

  • this is a wonderful trubute, many thanks. For constructive comments - its just missing two of his greatest goals - 1966 England v Mexico, and 1970 Liverpool v United.

  • Benfica!!!!

  • jacky & booby charlton the brothers of the footbul england

  • he has a great shot!

  • remidns me a bit of steven gerrard

  • What makes me laugh about football in the '70's is all the bog rolls that went flying onto the pitch when a goal was scored!

  • my list of the top 10 players ever based on what i have read about fans who saw them play. 1.duncan edwards 2.di stefano 3.george best 4.pele 5.tom finney 6.maradonna 7.john charles 8.cruff 9.beckenbeur 10.jim baxter
  • @thetoon99 shit i missed out puskas hes 8th take out jim baxter

  • @thetoon99

My dad saw a lot of great players during his time growing up and he said the one that impresses him the most was Matt Le Tissier!

  • @superdan1875 what team does he support and he was a good player

  • @thetoon99

My dad is a Birmingham City Fan and saw some really good players at the grounds he used to visit.

Jimmy Greaves is another player who might have made your list.

  • @thetoon99 nice to see Edwards at the top of your list, from what i've seen and heard of him he should have been the worlds best. Such a tragedy for united and england.

  • @mrtallis oh yea i agree he was and would have been even more it was a shame what happned but oh well.it happned but man utd came back from that set back in the end.

  • @thetoon99 united somehow won the fa cup just the year after, kinda shows how tough people were back then, everyones parents if not them had lived through the war. People are still tough but here in england it more rare, perhaps we should be thankful for our cushioned lives.

  • @mrtallis what in 59 they never won the fa cup they won it in 1963 5 years after the crash not 1 year after it.

  • @thetoon99 my mistake, they/we reached the final the same year, a even more remarkable feat than the one i mistakenly claimed. Bolton wanderers won that year 2-0

  • a great for sure-hes mentioned in this years world cup song-zx84 englands hall of fame

  • garrincha and best top legends

  • miss bob chato

  • This sentence just shows how much you know about football: NOTHING! His name was George Best, and he never played for England

  • Sorry, you're right, the england (and austria else) will never have a player like George, imagine players as Pelé and another LATIN americans...

I know nothing about futebol, but i know that austria never conquer one world cup, so be with your knowledge and i will be with the five cups and more...

  • @GedoMazou George best is north irish. hahah brazil you mean adriano, robinho, Dida, fat ronaldo ? do you really consider this bank of craps ? brazil is good and can win even they never play the France ahhahahah 86, 98 2006 next maybe 2010. Charlton was a good player maybe not the best technically but for tactics English or even european player are better than samba dancer.

  • Are you japanese ? Do you know what's a ball?

Remember : 1958 World Cup, Brasil 5x2 France...

And against France we have 5 victories, 4 draws and 4 loses... Read Wikipedia, the only team we never defeat is Norway, and else, we never lose to Japan...

And, what about the europeans, they just gain world cups at their own continent, but Brazil already conquered it in Europe... Sayonara !

  • @GedoMazou George best played for N. Ireland, NOT for England!!

  • 4:25 George Best + Bobby Charltonn?

  • screwed up hair but great man and great player.

  • Bobby Charlton defies that bullshit, just a great player, one of the greatest ever: England's leading goalscorer, Man United's leading goalscorer, European and World Cup winner...

  • ...best British and Manchester United player ever.

  • bobby chalton came to watch my football game

  • Footballs in those days were much heavier and harder to direct than todays... imagine Sir Bobby shooting with modern balls

  • To paraphrase what Johnny Haynes said about Tosh Chamberlain: Charlton could've knocked a modern ball into the English Channel. ;D

  • yup and ur that stupid to believe it

  • Yer mum said to keep the noise down while I'm shagging her stupid!! U wanna flame?? Let's FUCKING FLAME, ASSHOLE!!!

  • thx for compliments

  • Yer quite welcome, you sodding fuckwad!! If you want to get schooled some more, just try flaming me again, Ass Master!!

  • Awesome...especially 1:41
