  • Where r u?i need u

  • Would sound better if he kicks the fuckin saxplayer...

  • @guitarkeef Oh the saxplayer is the beast! It sounds really good :)

  • ron white at 0:26

  • I am moven over!

  • Am I the only one NOT bothered by who clicked "dislike"? Heh....

Anyway, I just... realized this wasn't a Thorogood original... somethin' tells me I'm not the only one. He reeeeally changed the lyrics, didn't he? I heard both songs, they don't match, by a long shot. Still, I prefer Thorogood, hands down.

  • 12 people were hit by giant dildos

  • Wow, damn he looked this bad 16 years ago? I guess all that drinking caught up after all.

  • 12 people have tremors in their fingers...

  • THIS should have been the commercial release...wow!

  • sorry i don´t speak english :D

  • ostras me encanta nose porque xd :D

  • Great Post Mate

  • <3 <3 tanta roba questa canzone <3 <3 <3

  • I drunk as hell this is the shit

  • Can't help but love it

  • <3 George Thorogood! Rock it baby!

  • Gabe Newell on the sax!

  • nice idea whitelinedrifter

  • I wish they would blend, mix, what ever its called, but show Hank and George playing this song together, like they were on the same stage at the same time. That would be cool.

  • I wonder what Hank Williams would think of this version.

  • This is great. But you cant beat Hank =)

  • yo this is way better than the original fucking great

  • This is AWESOME

  • sorry...never thought much of this guy's slide work. Go listen to Johnny W., Duane, Derek T., Bonnie if you wanna hear some real slide playing.

  • @ROCKSTARCRANE Totally Agree

  • @ROCKSTARCRANE It's pretty unsophisticated stuff certainly. But Thorogood's playing is all about setting a groove, gettin' down and boogie-ing. For a guitarist who wants to play slide it's an excellent starting point.

  • @MrMurphy1514 Indeed! He's a sorry sight these days but can still play some mean slide. Back when he was healthy I loved the way he'd get carried away by the playing and almost forget that he had some vocals to do. I can't imagine George Thorogood doing anything like that although I would love to see/hear it.

  • @FullMontyUK Where the fuck is Johnny Winters when you need him?Yeaaaahhh!

  • @MrMurphy1514 But then again George is even good on a bad day

  • He reminds me of Ron White

  • I think that's great musik, i realy love it to play this at guitar hero warrior of rock. perfekt kombination between rock and jazz

  • @LizardKing660 its rock and roll baby!

  • It doesn't matter how many times you watch this concert. It's great music

  • I Love play this song in guitar hero warriors of rock

  • Hank Williams, the 20th century genus.

  • cool music..george rocks!

  • Great Song

  • Jezuz H. Christ, what a great show!

  • Wow, this is the version that's on GH 6.

  • His name is Hank "Hurricane" Carter

  • @Joby423 Thanks.

  • Incredible that Hank Williams (sr) wrote this in 1947 -- before the dawn of rock n roll.

  • @crawfish999: not true, people were "rocking and rolling" in the 20s and 30s.

before the dawn of rock and roll? no. before the popularity of electric instruments? sure.

  • Who is that playing saxophone?

  • @stewajf

  • Legend. White guys can be blues legends too. He respects his roots, but he's made his own sound. You would never mistake a Lonesome George song for Elmore James or Chuck Berry, because he's made his own sound. That's one of the reasons he's a legend. He just played at my home town on the weekend (Adelaide Australia) and I couldn't get there. Dang. Come back George. I'm sorry!

  • Move over cool dog...A Hot Dogs Movin In! Thorogood Rocks!

  • Youtube, we have a problem. As it turns out, trolls have access to this video, pls fix this.

  • Shake It!

  • you rock

  • Man, this guy can rock.

  • Man, this guy can rock.

  • Spamount - fyi I saw CB play when he was at his best. This guy plays nothing like him you Black racist!

  • @spamount028 Shut the fuck up. This guy could play circles around most blues musicians. Your just another loser trying to leave a shit comment.

  • The best rock and roll bar band there ever was. George is the MAN!

  • 3:15 - 4:30 blew my mind, I can't believe the sounds that guitar made...

  • Back when music was focused on the music. Great stuff.

  • this a legend, show some respect

  • Saw him as opening act for the Rolling Stones in the mid 80's outdoors.

He was very, very loud, people were covering their ears and he kept playing the same open tuning bottle neck slide.

He was good and had a great band and the Stones took more than an hour to get the sound right.

I think George didn't get the chance for a sound check because the Stones were much easier on the ears, but that's rock and roll.

  • @strat63

    niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice

  • @strat63 I went to that tour in San Diego. J Geils band were also playing. What a great day of Rock n roll!!!

  • love it!

  • life should be like a rock and roll band ,it dosen't matter what you look like, just how you perform.

  • When I was a little boy, I wanted this man to have me....but he didnt

  • rock&roll never was a beauty contest or even a competition between bands.it's just rock& roll,but i like it

  • fuck miley cyrus

  • George is a good rocker and all but his front teet look like a front row of urinals

  • @fasteddie847 fuck u

  • @kierandoc Come on dude, cut me some slack uh. Just look at the dudes from front teeth. A front row of urinals.......

  • @fasteddie847 if you want pretty popstars fuck off and check out the pussycat dolls

  • @mikthepainter Dude what the fuck is wrong with you,i wouldn't fuck those skanks with *YOUR* dick....Pretty? Were you drunken-surfing? lol :p

  • @themosmitsos the answer to that question my friend is yes, so much so i forgot left that post, still no excuse, p.s. i wish someone would fuck something with mine, i grant you full use, peace mon bruv

  • @fasteddie847 So? It's not a fashion show, it's a rock and roll show. The priorities might be a tad bit different.

  • this rocks & Hank is great too!!!!!

  • LONG LIVE GEORGE AND THE DESTROYERS... CLASSIC BLUES,ROCK... 007 BRIAN

  • Mind Boggling!!!!!

  • Love how this song has so much energy! Love playing this song!

  • Original by Hank Williams in 1947...

  • @beatlejim64 Yeah, both of them are really good. Everybody loves Hank Williams, even George Thorogood.

  • I like this song!!

  • this is face melting guitar

  • I have Hank on 78, and I really can't decide which version I like better. Suffice to say I love them both.

  • everyones coloured or you wouldn't be able to see them-Captain Beefheart.

  • Does he tune to open "G"?

He looks like he's playing "E" shapes, but it sounds like it is in G.

  • @MichelJDrouin

His Amp set up was TOTALLY unique to this show only, his guitar sounds like a mad runaway CHAINSAW ! This was the ONLY concert he had this setup, it was never duplicated after this show !!!!!!

its edgey, FUZZY and sooooo powerful !!!!!!!

  • Thorogood still kicks ass on this old tune!!!

  • HANK WILLIAMS

  • @ominoverde87 senior

  • Blues wouldn't be blues without blacks or whites... it is what it is because of both and thanks to guys like you the guys like me have to face distrust from the guys of "other color"

  • who is the drummer? danny trejo's twin brother?

  • That is..100 years from when whites rediscovered the Blues, with the black beat.. back in the Old South

  • Take a step back 100 years and you would see blacks in the Celtic South learning Celtic Blues from whites. All blacks added was a beat

  • Awesome slide guitar!

  • Real blues IS white (Celtic) music, the only thing blacks did was give it a beat. George is one of the greats. Stevie Ray Vaughn is another!

  • i agree

  • i disagree. Both of those whites were inspired by the blacks. Blues is originally a black thing when white guys first started playing it they called it rock n roll.

  • love the sax

  • prefer when its just guitar, bass and drums.

No like the saxaphone, its all aout the slide.

  • he still looks badass

  • hank williams wrote this before he died of alcoholism and before rock n roll was big. incredible.

  • its great 2 c so much positive comment 4 george, rock'n'roll will never die.

  • George Sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's crazy how many people think he's great. Fake ass blues player!!!!!!! Sorry to blow your High!

  • well, you had to see him live in Santa Cruz about 1980 at the Catalyst to enjoy a fun, rocking show. Its not about what you think now, its about what is was then and continues to be for his fans today.

Some very talented "blues" people cannot draw an audience...bur George never had a problem

  • @Sharilynne56

Yea but this was the ONLY show that he had this type of guitar raw power distortion from his Amps ! He NEVER used this setup ever after this one show !

  • George is one of the greats

  • NO!!!!!!!! George Thorogood is to White sounding. He gives Real Blues a BAD name!!!!!!!!

  • Hard to believe no none wanted to sign him when he first started out. I bet there are a bunch of record companys kicken their selves in the ass about now Rock on George.

  • YES YES YES

  • God DAMN!!!! Thank you for the music!

  • hell ya

  • Georgie boy, rockin it out southern style!

  • Long Live Rock'n Roll

  • holy cow this can play the guitar!!

  • legend of rock

  • @yllibllik A "Warrior of Rock", apparently.

  • must hear 3 times a day...good is not enough

  • it has to be thoroGOOD? : D

  • hah

  • this is pure rock..goatman

  • man, what could be better than george for drinking music? his voice is as rough and gravelly as i feel when i wake up in the gutter after a nice binge!

  • sin duda es una de las mejores canciones de george thorogood

  • i do love this version. Hank Williams' original version was so countrified it didnt have the rock n roll appeal this version has. Although it was still great, and Hank Jr. rocks it out too

  • always liked GT'sversion of this song...

  • Move it on over

    Rock it on over

Move it on over cause a mean ole dog is movin in

    ...to drink alone.

  • Dont be doubting now ppls :P This great stuff will STILL probably be playing long after we're all dust. Its that good!

Hell, even the Stones will all still probably be alive 1000 years from now.

  • Buckle your seatbelts and check out 3:50

  • good thing you advised me cuz if you didnt i wouldve crashed right through the glass

  • I just sung this to my dawg, and im all drunk

this is fun song to sing to dawgs when you are drunk !

  • fucking awesome.

  • man...he makes that guitar sing!!

  • In case any one is interested George Thorogood and the Destroyers were one of the last acts performed on Dick Clark's American Bandstand! along way from Philadelphia where Dick Clark originally started American Bandstand!

  • Those were the good old days. They are gone, and fortunately they will come back only in the minds and songs of us rock'nroll lovers. It only proves one thing. every where i go,they still play old time rock'nroll music and songs like George Thorogood that are tied exactly into that music. walter c.

    9988cancer

  • this is called raw "power slide" !

  • That is the most skillful picking i've ever seen o_0. GO GEORGE!!!!!!

  • wat a unique stile of playing he has

  • Love the "Bukka White" moves at 4:12 to 4:17. Lonesome George is one of the best - period! A true guitar legend.

  • Since you're not coming back to Tulsa (don't blame you) I'm saving my nickels and dimes to fly out and see another concert. Best therapy on the planet!!

  • SMOKIN!

  • You should see the one he does with Travis Tritt (Move it on over)...You see George work the slide well o that one blew me away...Oh yeah by the way it looks easier than to play slide on open G tuning...

  • Trust me . . . it's easy and it's good for gettin' down and dirty while playing Rock N' Roll.

  • thats totally fucked that they took the video down dickweeds!

  • ummmmmmmm its wokring here lol

  • or he was tired playing !!!!

  • Looks like Ol' Georgie has had 3 bourbon, 4 scotch, 5 beers

  • i never really noticed... but he really isnt a very good slide player. it sounded cool, but thats about the easyest thing you can do with a slide..

  • He's the king of the electric slide guitar, you fermented pile of incandescent congenial lemming rot. How DARE you say he isn't good? Second only to Johnny Winter. And no we aren't including acoustic slide players in this debate.

  • if you want a better slide player, electric and acoustic, try Rory Gallagher. Bullfrog Blues is about this distorted.

  • you are an idiot. Duane Allman is the king. Derek Trucks is second.

  • Johnny Winter smokes both Allman and Trucks, IMO.

  • it's supposed to sound sloppy and easy. they're not known as "the world's greatest bar band" for no reason. i mean seriously, think about it: how stupid would it sound to sing about drinking, drinking, drinking, old lady troubles, and other life troubles while playing with a perfectly steady hand and not getting wild with it?

  • *shrugs* i still think he just ripped off John Lee Hooker, in style and a few songs, and distorted it. as a white fellow he got more publicity for the good old blues songs, but i do admit, i like his voice.
