Yes, i play guitar, don't move too fast, master the basics first while learning a couple of songs. do as many finger exercises as possible

@Coolsweat30 Yes, learn to keep timing and learn to feel music. If you know how to do those two things well, then the next step is to learn improvisation, it helps a great deal on a bass for when you screw up some notes. other than that, there's not much to it. Bass is very different from guitar, so don't play it like one, unless you know the dynamics of a bass very well, which usually takes some time to get a feel for if you're new to bass.
