  • Absolutely awesome! I wish you guys would come and play in my town.

  • nicely done fellas. I just put our own version of this great song up. And hey, the dropped beat...the more folks you are playing with, the more of them you will lose when you try to emulate it exactly.

    regards

    Bill

  • how come you did not invite the guy with the gig bag and guitar in on the session?

  • Great job guys.

  • Nice job :) One nitpick, though - in the original there's a wierder rhythm on the chorus, where adds or drops a half beat (depending on how you look at it) at "come to wild rose change again, down in fogarty's cove". But otherwise, sweet.

  • It's a sixteenth note - the one you are talking about - but we felt that we would leave that to Stan :)..... thanks for the comment!

  • @newfiefiddler it does sound better without that drop, not sure why it's there in the first place

  • I hate to jump on the bandwagon and request Stan Rogers tunes, but have you ever done Watching the Apples Grow?

  • awesome!

  • So...you just stop in the middle of a store and start pickin er eh haha. Good job.

  • It's in the key fo "E"

  • Thanks, i'll try to work on it, once i know what notes are the key of E. I've only been doing it for like half a year so i'll ask my teacher, thanks though you rock at this song. Is that key with the kapo on? or with it off and then you put it on after?

  • So what does that meana each string is tuned to? can you give me which each string is? Thanks

  • It's a four string tenor banjo and the strings are (fron top to bottom) C-G-D-A
