  • do you just drag the bait against the bottom with the tide until you get a fish?

  • Flounder are some of the best eating fish in the ocean!

  • I wish I got to experience these days. Now the winter flounder fishery is dominated by the commercial netters, and by the time they allow you to start fishing theres little to no fish around. Two fish at 13" is it? How ridiculous is that. This fishery has been decimated, and the Comm guys are the ones to blame. Yes, the rec's took their fair share, but atleast it was stopped. Yet the commercial guys are still allowed to run amok and destroy the fishery further. I guess Foodtown needs its fish!

  • what kinda boat is that

  • is the name of that boat called "fluke-u"

  • damn rednecks why dont they go and shoot bottles.

  • nice video

  • wich bait??

  • what bait do u use?

  • For those who are just getting to know about flounder fishing, Summer Flounder(Fluke) face towards the left and have teeth. On the other hand, however, winter flounder dont have teeth and they face towards the right. There! That should stop all of the comments!

  • whats a good bait for flounder fishing

  • Flounder -- This brown fish is the most common shallow-water flatfish in North America. It is a right-sided flounder, which means that it has both eyes on the right side. The tail area on the eyeless side of some individuals, especially larger ones, is yellow, which is why the fish is often called "lemon sole".

  • flounders are cool and tasty there close to the beach on the shore

  • Hey do you guys drift for flounder or stay still and what depth do u go in?

  • no shit but all the people who live there when they say flounder they mean smaller fish colder weather and when they say fluke theyre talking about bigger fish and warm weather

  • not to be a jerk, just to inform you fluke and flounder are two different species over here in staten island. different shape, diet and preferences. taking a good look at both fishes mouths would be the easy way to figure it out.
