Heres an idea still using a coin, glue the fly to the coin with superglue. Then coin toss your fly-coin combo and allow it to land on the floor :D

i think i might have one

you know those small film canisters?

first glue the fly with super glue to he bottom of the canister 9not the end with the cap)

then fill the canister about a 1/3 way full of diet coke

drop a mentos in and put the cap on quickly

finally, quickly set it down on its cap and watch your fly get launched on your homemade rocket

We normally have to shepeard ours out of the house though... they're just too fast to kill unless they're already starving and thus slower than normal (and even then it's a pain)...
