Just spotted the New Zealand flag on the drivers helmet, he is a Kiwi living in the states so it seems. Big accident and freakish how he was suspended up on the fence.

As far as the fence goes, it held up well, and is built well as it didn't buckle with the weight of a wingless sprinter. Impressive and good to see the driver came out ok. Motorsport is dangerous so to see drivers walk away from crashes is always a good feeling.

the front axle didn't break until the roll was already in motion - the car hooked the cushion - simple as that. happens in dirt racing all over the country on a weekly basis. the front wheels don't drive the car at all anyway - now if it were a front suspension issue then it might contribute to a crash but that isn't the case here.
