Incorrect, they use different words, but linguists agree that Americans speak with an accent closer to what English was originally spoken like plus you need to take the education of these people into account. The average person back then didn't speak the same way the old English authors wrote. It was a very different section of society where the educated were a minority.

Russian... Ukranians use old version of that language but it doesn't mean that Ukranian language is more proper Russian... or Turkish... What English 'originally' used to be about four other languages. If you mean Middle English, or perhaps even Old English, then I suppose you could argue that the American accent has a slight Dutch ring to it sometimes, in which case you would be sort of correct, but American as a language is still very similar to Modern English, there are actually just semantic differences, which people who aren't really qualified or smart enough to have an opinion about, seem to have very strong opinions about.
