I'll be the first to say that I love quiet music as much as rock, like Loreena McKennitt fore example, but as far as this song is concerned, Nightwish's version is my favorite. Even over the quiet, symphonic original in the snowman movie. Tarja's voice is incomparable for this song. I love it as a rock power ballad.

This song is heavenly, Tarja is the best. . Not in a thousand years will a singer even get close to her. Neither will Annette (but se is a nice girl). I've never seen Nightwish live ,so i probably l never gonna see nightwish with Tarja. I shall never forgive myself for not being a fan of Nightwish before 2005.

I like! but I prefer the original song of "snowman"... This version it's like hear Beatles "Eleanor Rigby" made by Kansas..I like all Kansas songs but the covers are ALWAYS covers....Nightwish singer has a very nice voice, yes, but for commercial reasons or for "look" they had use this drums too strong!! and that guitar that is like caricature of original children voice...too lyricism here. The Original song is more faithful to the feelings of those who created it (Howard Blake).

I used to absolutely loathe this song, because in primary school I had a really horrible music teacher and she made the whole class sing it.  I couldn't sing, so I didn't. She didn't say anything to me, just gave me filthy looks and ignored me from then on.
